Members learn about festive get-fit moves

By Billie Anthony

Our chapter is starting to have more join our journey to weight loss. Last week we had Lynda join and this week Brenda joined us. We are all excited about having more join us and learn about weight loss and encourage each other. We acknowledged Mary’s third quarter weight loss of 12.6 pounds by giving her a SLIM bar pin.

This week we had 12 weigh in. Donna had the biggest weight loss with 3.2 pounds gone. We had a chapter loss of 13.3 pounds, gain of 5.7 with a net loss of 7.6 pounds. Way to go ladies! We had seven sign the Losers Lotto sheet and seven stickers were removed from the surprise box. Our Two Bit Bowl remains unchanged. There is over $10 in that bowl.

Our Chapter Challenge for this week is to drink 32 ounces of water. We tend to not drink as much water when the temperature is cooler. We discussed our chapter fun day next Monday. We plan on playing Bingo. We also discussed our Christmas Party on December 18. Since several restaurants are closed on Monday we decided to have a potluck at the church. Our time went by so fast we didn’t have time for our program “10 Festive and Fit ways to get moving over the Holidays.”

We closed our meeting with the TOPS Pledge.

EVERYONE is invited to visit. The FIRST VISIT is FREE. It cost $49 a year to join TOPS Club INC. We meet at First Christian Church, 706 N Wheeler, Sallisaw, Monday at 10:30am-12pm. We begin weighing at 10:30am and the meeting starts at 11am and ends at 12. For more info, please call Billie at 918-413-1383. We look forward to meeting you.
