However, the Golden Eagles lost 75-61 to Langston on Saturday afternoon at Bill George Arena as Collins scored two points.
In Thursday’s road win over Central Christian, Kan., the Golden Eagles (4-4 overall, 2-1 in SAC play) led 33-30 at halftime, only to see Central Christian outscore them 35-32 to knot the game at 65-all to force overtime. In the extra session, JBU outscored the host team 8-6 to get the Sooner Athletic Conference road victory. In Saturday’s loss to Langston, the Lions jumped out to a 37-25 lead at halftime, then outscored the Golden Eagles 3836 in the second half.
Collins and the Golden Eagles will entertain Oklahoma Panhandle State at 8 p.m. Thursday.
