4 OU indoor track athletes get PRs in season-opening meet

Four Sooners earned new personal bests.
Redshirt seniors Nicholas Young and Gabe Medina opened the competition with the men’s 3,000-meter race, both registering new personal records. Young grabbed an 8:10.19 time and Medina secured an 8:29.05 time.
Sophomore Erin O’Brien recorded a new PR in the women’s 5,000-meter race with a 16:46.97 time, the ninth-best finish in OU history. Junior Gabi Barrera earned a new personal best time of 16:58.44.
Junior Colin Caso registered a 14:58.38 time in the men’s 5,000-meter race.
The Sooners will host the J.D. Martin Invitational on Saturday in Norman.
