STILLWATER — Headlined by a slate that features 11 2023 NCAA tournament participants, the Oklahoma State softball team has announced its 2024 season schedule.

STILLWATER — Headlined by a slate that features 11 2023 NCAA tournament participants, the Oklahoma State softball team has announced its 2024 season schedule.

OSU begins its season in California, facing off against Cal State-Northridge on Feb. 8 before heading to the Lynn Russell Miller Classic in Riverside, Calif., on Feb. 9-10. The Cowgirls are scheduled to play Portland State, Utah State and UC-Riverside followed by a top-tier showdown Feb. 11 at UCLA.

The Pokes then travel across the country for a two-week stay in Florida, first for the Shriner’s Hospital Clearwater Elite Invitational presented by Evoshield. OSU is slated to face off against Georgia, Wisconsin, Louisiana State University, Northwestern and Georgia Tech from Feb. 16-18.

The Cowgirls make a stop in Deland, Fla., on Feb. 21 for a match-up against Stetson before traveling to Tampa, Fla., for the South Florida Invitational. OSU plays five games in four days from Feb. 22-24 against Washington, South Florida, Yale, Pittsburgh and Loyola-Chicago.

Following three straight weeks on the road, OSU’s home opener comes on Feb. 27, a doubleheader against South Dakota State at Cowgirl Stadium.

OSU then hosts Seattle for a doubleheader as part of the Cowgirl Invitational on March 1.

Following a five-day break, the Cowgirls welcome Wichita State to Stillwater on March 6 at Cowgirl Stadium.

Big 12 play begins from March 8-10 when the Cowgirls travel to Baylor.

OSU returns to Stillwater to entertain Central Arkansas on March 13 before taking on Big 12 newcomer Central Florida from March 15-17 at Cowgirl Stadium.

OSU travels to Tulsa on March 19 followed by a three-game set at Brigham Young University from March 21-23.

The Cowgirls welcome Missouri State to Cowgirl Stadium on March 26 before hosting Texas from March 2830 for a three-game series in Stillwater.

The Pokes then travel to North Texas on April 3 followed by a Big 12 series at Houston from April 5-7.

OSU welcomes Tulsa on April 10 before a three-game set at Iowa State from April 12-14 followed by an April 17 road date with Wichita State.

OSU then enjoys a two-week homestand, facing off against Texas Tech from April 19-21, North Texas on April 24 and the final Big 12 home series against Kansas from April 26-28.

Following the homestand, the Cowgirls travel to Texas-Arlington on May 1.

The Cowgirls wrap up the regular season with a showdown against Oklahoma on May 3-5 in Norman.

“We’re always looking to build the best schedule that we can build to prepare us for a postseason run,” OSU softball coach Kenny Gajewski said. “We feel like we’ve done that with the early tournaments and some marquee games. The new challenge has been adding in the new conference teams. It’s limited some of our non-conference games, but it’s exciting to have new conference teams and places that we haven’t played in the past. We’re looking forward to a challenging schedule with many new places that we haven’t been to.”

Start times and television designations, along with details regarding ticket information, will be made available at a later date.
