Tulsa earns 3 wins at Crimson and Gold Invitational
PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Tulsa men’s and women’s tracks teams came away with 14 top-ten performances, including three first-place marks last Saturday at the Crimson and Gold Invitational in the Robert W. Plaster Center .

Returning sophomore Sarah Hosey picked up her first career indoor win with a 2:09.9 finish in the 800-meter run, setting a new personal best along the way. Running alongside Hosey were Billlie Rouse (fifth) and Anastasia Small (10th), who earned top-10 finishes in taheir first collegiate action.
Amy Morefield, a true freshman, shined in her first career meet for the Golden Hurricane. She timed a 4:57.73 mark in the mile to finish first overall over 64 other athletes.
In the 300-meter dash, Elizabeth Roca dashed her way to a new personal best, finishing sixth in 39.53.
Christian Gregory (9th) notched a top-10 finish in the 600-yard run with a 1:27.71 mark.
The Hurricane saw three women earn top-five finishes in the 3,000-meter run, led by returning senior Tamara Reeves with a 9:47.03 mark for third place. Right behind her were Alicen Ashley (9:49.7) and Robyn Kowalski (9:55.57). In her first indoor meet, McKenna Terrell placed 13th in 10:20.61.
Junior transfer Jaden Forester (New Orleans) made waves in his Hurricane debut, winning the mile in 4:09.4 to set a new meet record. Then, he wrapped up the day with a second-place finish in the 3,000-meter run in 8:23.97, a personal best. Ben Black (13th), Colton Berquist (16th) and Grant Brawley (24th) all set new career highs in the race and finished within the top 25.
Returning junior Evan Sanni-Thomas grabbed his first podium finish of the season with a 33.74 performance in the 300-meter dash, good for second place.
Josh Sutton opened his fifth indoor season with a pair of top-10 finishes. He placed fourth in the 60-meter dash in 6.79 seconds and seventh in the 200-meter dash in 21.74. He was the top finisher in each of his heats.
