The Grizzlies got past the Hornets 48-44, but the Lady Hornets stung the Lady Grizzlies 38-30.
In the boys’ game, the Grizzlies (3-4), who trailed 34-32 after three quarters, got the come-from-behind win thanks to a 16-10 fourth quarter.
For the game, Josh Brunk shared game-high honors with 23 points to lead Gans, followed by Mayson Clifton with 11 points, Ashton Langston with nine points, Bryce Stevens and Nakota White with two points each and Caleb Martin with a free throw.
There was no individual statistical information about the girls’ game reported. The loss drops the Lady Grizzlies’ record to 3-5.
