During the week of Jan. 1-7, 2024, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 18 animal calls, 134 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

9:15 a.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of Hwy. 64. RP would like to speak with a deputy re...

01/01/2024

9:15 a.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of Hwy. 64. RP would like to speak with a deputy regarding his son-in-law who was pulled over by police for having no driver’s license. RP would like to know the reason that he was not arrested. Cody Parkerson responded.

9:20 a.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of Hwy. 64. RP (from previous call) called back to demand a deputy escort him to the residence of his son-in-law to get his grandchildren and some medication that might belong to his daughter. RP was told by police that he would need a Writ of Assistance in order to have a deputy escort him, and the RP then asked to speak to a supervisor. Cody Parkerson responded.

11:58 a.m. – Speak with Deputy In the vicinity of Hunter St. RP states she has paperwork showing that her tenants must be out of the house by noon, and she would like to have a deputy go to the house to ensure they are gone. Shane Duncan responded.

3:47 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – Unknown Location. RP is requesting a deputy escort her to her parent’s house to retrieve her property. Daniel Whitus responded.

5:39 p.m. – Trespassing – In the vicinity of S. 4623 Rd. RP would like to have her husband’s father trespassed from her house. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

7:42 p.m. – Threats – In the vicinity of S. 4776 Rd. RP would like to speak with a deputy, believes there might be some threatening at the Roland High School. Allen Ramey responded.

8:36 p.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely – Jeremiah Mountain. RP works for the Liberty Fire Department and can hear gunshots near the station. Allen Ramey responded.

9:24 p.m. – Breaking and Entering In the vicinity of S. 4529 Rd. RP’s home was just broken into, and she believes it might be someone who had recently texted her. The person said he might be coming to her home to retrieve his property. Charles Webber responded.

01/02/2024

4:02 a.m. – Prowler – In the vicinity of Hwy. 82. RP thought she heard and saw a prowler on her property. She could not give a description of the person. Charles Webber responded.

11:13 a.m. – Harassment- In the vicinity of E. 973 Rd. RP says that each time he is out cleaning his yard, the neighbor films and harasses him. Justin Deuley responded.

11:24 a.m. – Harassment – In the vicinity of E. 975 Rd. RP reports having issues with his neighbor harassing him and turning his truck around in RP’s yard. Justin Deuley responded.

2:00 p.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of E. 953 Rd. RP advises that she had money and her Social Security card stolen from her wallet. Justin Deuley responded but could not make contact with the RP.

5:04 p.m. – Complaint – In the vicinity of E. 1070 Rd. RP is having issues with a tenant at her rental property. RP has recently installed security cameras on the porch, and the tenant continues to remove them. Cody Parkerson responded.

5:35 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of Schley St. RP reports that her neighbors have her house keys and will not return them. Shane Duncan responded.

5:36 p.m. – Stolen Vehicle – Unknown Location. RP is in Arkansas, but his vehicle was in the Moffett area and was stolen. Allen Ramey responded.

6:53 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of E. 1097 Rd. RP advised he had traded trucks with someone in Muldrow, and the person will not give her the title. Allen Ramey responded.

9:28 p.m. – Fight in Progress – In the vicinity of N. Main St. RP does not speak English, but wishes to report a fight they just saw happen outside a building on Main St. Gore PD and Charles Webber responded.

01/03/2024

1:24 a.m. – Extra Patrol Request – In the vicinity of Hwy. 59. RP would like more police presence in her neighborhood as she is receiving threats. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

2:14 a.m. – Breaking and Entering – In the vicinity of S. 4756 Rd. RP would like to report that he believes someone is breaking into his neighbor’s home through the side garage door. Allen Ramey and Hunter Hutchinson responded.

11:21 a.m. – Other – In the vicinity of S. 4540 Rd. RP works for a tire shop in Muskogee, and went to the address listed to retrieve some property that was taken from the shop, and the homeowner pulled a gun on him. Shane Petree responded.

11:59 a.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of Lee St. RP’s home was just burglarized and he would like to have a deputy talk to the people who are outside. Shane Duncan responded.

2:35 p.m. – Property Dispute – Unknown Location. Until recently, the RP has been living with her daughter and the daughter’s boyfriend. The daughter was served an eviction notice, and told to leave by today. The RP would like to know how to get her items and property back from the house. Brian Stone responded.

4:24 p.m. – Speak with Deputy In the vicinity of S. 4497 Rd. RP has a PO against a man who has been abusive in the past. Just today, she found a baseball cap in her barn that she believes might belong to the man. Tyler Engleman responded.

4:28 p.m. – Petit Larceny – In the vicinity of E. 1126 Rd. RP arrived home and found a man taking items from her barn. Brian Stone responded.

5:47 p.m. – Complaint – In the vicinity of S. 4469 Rd. RP advised she has received a warning over her dog biting a neighbor, and now the neighbor is at the end of the RP’s driveway taunting the dog. Tyler Engleman responded.

6:22 p.m. – Noise Complaint – In the vicinity of Hunter St. RP advised there is a bonfire next door and the music is way too loud. Shane Duncan responded.

6:38 p.m. – Information – Sparks Store. RP reports having seen a car sideswipe someone on Hwy. 17. Jeff Neighbors responded.

11:56 p.m. – Speak with Deputy In the vicinity of S. 4728 Rd. RP would like to talk to someone about a man she knows who has warrants. Mark Choate, Tyler Engleman and Jeff Neighbors responded.

01/04/2024

2:55 a.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown Location. RP would like to speak with a deputy about comments made on her Facebook post. Mark Choate responded.

10:56 a.m. – Speak with Deputy -In the vicinity of S. 4595 Rd. RP’s neighbors are moving fences and trees on the RP’s property. Shane Petree responded but could not make contact with the suspect.

10:58 a.m. – Fraud – In the vicinity of Hwy. 9. RP thinks their debit card may have been hacked. Brian Stone responded.

1:04 p.m. – Threats – In the vicinity of S. 4612 Rd. RP advised that she and a family member were involved in an argument and she felt threatened. Brian Stone responded.

3:00 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – Unknown Location. RP just bought a bus and would like to know how to legally drive it with passengers. CJ McGee responded.

6:19 p.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of E. 1082 Rd. RP advises there have been people in his field several times this week. Jeff Neighbors and Shelton Fair responded.

6:58 p.m. – Breaking and Entering – In the vicinity of Hwy. 100. RP is the owner of No Wake Zone, and someone has kicked in the door and taken her credit card machines. Tyler Engleman responded.

7:46 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – Ball Fields on Tower Rd. RP reports seeing someone pull up to the building at the ball fields and she is not sure if they are checking the water, or if they are trying to break in. Mark Choate responded.

01/05/2024

11:29 a.m. – Speak with Deputy In the Brushy Area. RP advised that their vehicle was stolen, and subsequently totaled. Today she saw someone driving in it. Cody Parkerson responded.

12:01 p.m. – Other – Dollar General on Hwy. 64. RP has been living with her friend to get away from her partner. Today the partner made threatening comments on Facebook. Cody Parkerson responded.

12:04 p.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of E. 1095 Rd. RP has been living at her dad’s residence with a friend, and today the friend began to break things and pack up their stuff to leave. Cody Parkerson responded.

2:23 p.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of S. 4606 Rd. RP would like to report someone stealing his mail. Cody Parkerson responded.

3:26 p.m. – Trespassing – In the vicinity of E. 1095 Rd. RP would like to report that, earlier today, two men were on her property banging on her door. They have now returned with another man and are banging on the door. Daniel Whitus, Justin Deuley and Cody Parkerson responded.

4:53 p.m. – Stolen Property – Dollar General on Indian Road. RP works at the store and wants to report a woman has stolen items from the store. Justin Deuley responded.

5:47 p.m. – Argument – In the vicinity of Hwy. 82. RP advises that her husband is trying to take her car without her permission. Charles Webber and Justin Deuley responded.

8:56 p.m. – Argument – In the vicinity of Cherokee Rock Rd. RP would like to report an argument that broke out between her elderly mother and herself. The RP says that it was not physical, but that her mother says she felt abused by the argument, and the RP would like advice. Allen Ramey responded and made an arrest.

9:51 p.m. – Other – In the vicinity of Mittie Martin. RP called to report a PO violation, but dispatch was unable to find an active PO on the person that the RP reported. RP advises that the person had been contacting her best friend and making the RP feel threatened. Kaitlyn Sanders responded.

9:55 p.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely – In the vicinity of E. 1115 Rd. RP advises that there are several deer in front of his home, and a silver truck pulled up and shot the deer. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

11:55 p.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely – In the vicinity of Primrose Rd. RP called to report that he had just heard about 100 shots from outside his property. Charles Webber, Hunter Hutchinson and Gore PD responded.

01/06/2024

8:08 a.m. – Harassment – In the vicinity of S. 4497 Rd. RP has been receiving text messages from someone posing as an attorney, stating that she was being served a warrant for the Cherokee Courts. RP is not a Cherokee citizen and thinks this might be a scammer. Justin Deuley responded.

9:29 a.m. – Harassment – In the vicinity of S. 4497 Rd. RP states that her neighbor is posting photos and videos on Facebook that have her in them. The RP previously tried to have a PO served against the neighbor, but the case was dismissed. Justin Deuley responded.

10:13 a.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely – In the vicinity of E. 1115 Rd. RP called last night about someone shooting a deer in his front yard. Today, he has found the truck and would like to report it as being his neighbor. Cody Parkerson responded.

12:34 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of E. 953 Rd. RP reports that a family member was recently released from jail, and she would like to have her daughter evaluated for human services. Justin Deuley responded.

2:03 p.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of Harmony Dr. RP noticed that she’s had many items stolen from her home, but she is not sure when they were taken, as she has had many people in and out of her home in the past week. Justin Deuley responded.

8:11 p.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of North St. RP has a PO against his neighbor, and now the neighbor is flashing his headlights at the RP. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

11:09 p.m. – Extra Patrol Request – Near Marble City. RP says she has heard gunshots and screams last night, and would like to have more police presence in the area. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

01/07/2024

7:30 a.m. – Other – In the vicinity of E. 965 Rd. RP would like to get information about the previous owners of his home as he felt there may have been foul play there. Justin Deuley responded.

9:11 a.m. – Speak with Deputy Vian PD. RP lives in the country and does not know his address, but would like to report that the Craigslist Killer is framing him for the killings, and he does not want to be framed. RP also reports that he made a report about another issue this morning and no one took it seriously. Justin Deuley responded.

2:16 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – In the vicinity of E. 1125 Rd. RP noticed a gray SUV in her backyard and believes it might be stolen, and left there by one of her son’s friends. Daniel Whitus responded.

7:59 p.m. – Threats – In the vicinity of S. 4757 Rd. RP reports that his neighbors came to his house and asked him not to throw scraps to their dogs. He stated that one of the neighbors, a child, began cursing him. The RP thinks they might be foster children and would like to have DHS become involved in the situation. Dispatch told the RP that a deputy would come out, and the RP became frustrated and said he thought it was “dumb” for a deputy to come out to the house. Allen Ramey responded.
