ORLANDO, Fla. – Senior Le’Tre Darthard scored a team-high 14 points and buried four 3-pointers in No. 23/24 Oklahoma’s 74-63 loss to Central Florida on Saturday afternoon at Addition Financial Arena.

The Knights (13-8 overall, 4-5 in Big 12 play) scored the first seven points of the contest and raced out to a 15-4 advantage after back-to-back triples by Antwann Jones.

Senior Rivaldo Soares brought the Sooners (16-6, 4-5) back within three with a pair of dunks before UCF’s Payne responded with a slam.

OU narrowed the UCF advantage to 23-21 after a pair of made free throws by junior Jalon Moore and a jumper by Soares.

UCF outscored the Sooners 11-5 to end the half and entered the break up 34-27.

Junior Javian McCollum opened the second frame with two free throws after UCF was assessed a flagrant foul after the end of the half.

Jones scored on a slashing lay-up for the first UCF points of the half and sophomore Milos Uzan knocked down a 3-point basket, cutting the deficit to 3632.

The Knights strung together an 8-2 run, capping the spurt with a pair of free throws by Ibrahim Diallo. Sophomore Otega Oweh cut the advantage to 44-36 with 15:52 left before UCF buried four consecutive free throws, pushing its lead back to double digits.
