Sooners deliver win over Baylor, but lose to West Virginia

Verhulst had 16 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists and five blocks for the Sooners (18-7 overall, 12-2 in Big play), who are 4-3 against ranked teams. Nevaeh Tot and Sahara Williams both had 14 points and Skylar Vann had 10.
The last time the Sooners were 12-1 in league play was the 2008-09 season when they finished 15-1 and made the Final Four.
Sarah Andrews had 14 points for Baylor, which is 5-3 in top-25 games. Dre’una Edwards and Van Gytenbeek both had 13 points.
The Sooners ended the week with a 70-66 loss to West Virginia on Saturday in Morgantown, W.Va.
Ja’Naiya Quinerly scored 18 points as the Sooners saw their nine-game winning streak come to an end.
Verhulst had 20 points to lead OU, which had won four-straight in the series and six straight at West Virginia. Tot had 12 points. Lexy Keys and Vann both had 11 points with Vann grabbing 14 rebounds.
The Sooners were slated to play a Tuesday night game at Cincinnati.
