The Oklahoma State softball team picked up a 3-0 win over Florida on Monday in Gainesville, Fla., after going 1-2 in last weekend’s Clearwater Invitational.

The Oklahoma State softball team picked up a 3-0 win over Florida on Monday in Gainesville, Fla., after going 1-2 in last weekend’s Clearwater Invitational.

In the Clearwater Invitational on Friday, the Cowgirls beat Wisconsin 9-5 after losing 7-4 to Georgia, then they lost 7-6 to Louisiana State University on Saturday. Their last two games against Northwestern and Georgia Tech were cancelled due to weather.

In the win over Florida, Karli Godwin hit a three-run home run and Lexi Kilfoyl threw a complete game shutout.

In the win over Wisconsin, Rosie Davis went 3-for-4 with a run batted in and Claire Timm (2-for-5 with an RBI), Macy Graf (2-for-4 with a double and an RBI) and Caroline Wang (2-for-4 with a double) all had multi-hit games for the Cowgirls.

Ivy Rosenberry came on in relief to hold Wisconsin scoreless in three innings of work to earn her first win of the season with Lexi Kilfoyl pitching a scoreless sixth and seventh to secure her first save of the season.

In the loss to Georgia, An RBI double from Wang in the first inning followed by a two-run home run for Megan Bloodworth and an RBI triple from Timm in the second staked the Cowgirls to a 4-0 lead through two, but Georgia rallied to score four runs in the fifth and three in the sixth to claim victory. Kilfoyl took the loss in relief for the Cowgirls.

In the loss to LSU, Despite a home run from Tallen Edwards on the first pitch of the game, OSU fell behind 5-1 through two innings. The Cowgirls recaptured the lead with a five run third to go up 6-5. Fueling the rally were RBI singles from Godwin, Micaela Wark and Davis and an RBI double from Wang.

Kilfoyl took the loss for OSU to bring her season record to 3-2.

Five home runs and five scoreless innings in relief from Ivy Rosenberry helped OSU claim an 11-6 win over Stetson on Wednesday night at Patricia Wilson Field in Deland, Fla.

The Cowgirls trailed 6-2 after two innings, but scored six times in the sixth inning and twice in the seventh to claim victory.

With the win, the Cowgirls improved to 8-2.

OSU recorded 14 hits and the Cowgirls’ five home runs came from five different players.

Rosie Davis was the first Cowgirl to homer, blasting a ball over the centerfield fence in the second inning, followed by a homer from Tallen Edwards in the third. In the sixth inning, Micaela Wark tied the game with a two-run home run and a three-run shot from Jilyen Poullard later in the inning — her first for OSU — gave the Cowgirls the lead for good. Caroline Wang capped the scoring with a two-run shot in the seventh. It marked the first five home run game for the Cowgirls since March 27, 2022, against Texas Tech.

Rosenberry (2-0) inherited a 6-2 deficit when she entered the game in the third inning and kept the Cowgirls in the game by striking out a careerhigh nine batters and allowing only three hits over the final five innings.

The Cowgirls will remain in Florida as they were slated to face Washington and South Florida in Tampa, Fla., followed by a 3:30 p.m. Friday game against Yale in Tampa and end with week with and 8 a.m. game against Pittsburgh and a 10:30 a.m. game against Loyola of Chicago on Saturday in Tampa.
