News from Sallisaw Masonic Lodge

Many great things are happening at the Sallisaw Masonic Lodge that they want to make public.

Many great things are happening at the Sallisaw Masonic Lodge that they want to make public.

Helping fellow member

First of all, one of the members experienced a house fire. If you’ve never been around such a loss, it is hard to explain. The Masonic Charity Foundation generously donated $1,000 to help the family get restarted. The Sallisaw Masonic Lodge was also able to contribute, adding another $1,000 to assist further.

Rusty Nail Degree

In lighter news, the Lodge has scheduled a Rusty Nail Degree. This is for members who have been away from the Lodge for a while and may have forgotten some of the rituals for entry. Some might even be embarrassed about forgetting the ritual.

It will be an informal get-together with a potluck dinner to be enjoyed by all. The only thing you will need is your Oklahoma due cards and a friendly smile.

BBQ time

March 8, 2024, is a date to mark on your calendar, it’s BBQ time. That’s right, time to enjoy some delicious pulled pork sandwiches artfully prepared by Killer Looking of Sallisaw. For only $8, you can enjoy a sandwich, beans, chips, a dill pickle spear and bottled water. You can preorder by contacting any Mason or by calling 918-776-3838. Delivery is available.

Fundraisers/Scholarship fund

These fundraisers are used in our community so your money stays here to help needy enterprises and also is added to their scholarship fund. The Sallisaw Masonic Lodge gives scholarships to students from Sallisaw, Vian and Central Schools. You don’t have to be from here to help our community.

Please order soon and spread the good news!
