During the week of Feb. 12-18, 2024, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 22 animal calls, 136 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports.

Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

11:08 a.m. – In the vicinity of S. 4704 Rd- RP called to speak with a deputy regarding property he owned...

02/12/2024

11:08 a.m. – In the vicinity of S. 4704 Rd- RP called to speak with a deputy regarding property he owned, which is being held by someone who claims to have an active PO against him. Daniel Whitus responded.

11:51 a.m. – Suspicious Person In the vicinity of S. 50 Rd- RP reported seeing a male break into a residence, and attempting to break into vehicles on the street. Cody Parkerson and Justin Deuley responded.

12:16 p.m. – Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of W. Sequoyah- RP advised they saw a male walking up to porches on Sequoyah St. Joleen McLaughlin responded.

12:21 p.m. – Vandalism- In the vicinity of E. 996 Rd- RP called to report that a family member is out-of-control and is damaging her home. Cody Parkerson and Justin Deuley responded.

6:32 p.m. – Threats- In the vicinity of S. 469 Rd- RP wanted to report that their spouse is making threats towards them, via a third party. Allen Ramey responded.

02/13/2024

8:52 a.m. – Drugs- In the vicinity of Hwy. 59- RP advised he had found a bag of drugs in front of his door. Cody Parkerson responded.

8:57 a.m. – Speak with Deputy- Unknown Location- RP requested to speak with a deputy regarding her husband keeping items from her. Daniel Whitus responded.

9:24 a.m. – Stolen Property- In the vicinity of Hwy. 82- RP reported that his wallet was missing from his residence, after a visitor was at his home last night. Justin Deuly responded.

12:15 p.m. – Breaking and Entering Unknown Location- RP advised that there was a male and female couple with a utility trailer at a foreclosed home, and he felt they were stealing items. Daniel Whitus responded.

7:37 p.m. – Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of S. 4701 Rd- RP called to request extra patrol in his neighborhood due to a female walking around seeming to be suspicious. Allen Ramey responded.

9:37 p.m. – Breaking and Entering In the vicinity of E. 1050 Rd- RP called to report that someone was actively trying to break down the door to her residence. The RP then reported that the suspects had gained entry into the home, while she and her husband were taking cover in the back bedroom. Allen Ramey, Hunter Hutchinson, and Mark Choate responded.

11:05 p.m. – Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of Shiloh Dr- RP saw two suspects entering the gate to his property, via a camera. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

02/14/2024

8:50 a.m. – Stolen Property- In the vicinity of S. 4760 Rd- RP advised that a family member is keeping disability checks from them, and will not return them. CJ McGee responded.

12:25 p.m. – Vandalism- In the vicinity of Taylor Dr- RP called to report that her mailbox had been hit twice last night, and that she had heard a sound during the night that was most likely someone vandalizing the mailbox. CJ Mc Gee responded.

2:55 p.m. – Information- In the vicinity of Mallard Rd- RP called to report that his attorney advised him to disregard any written eviction notices at his property. Dispatch documented this information.

02/15/2024

9:43 a.m. – Property Dispute- In the vicinity of S. 4700 Rd- RP stated that a family member is taking down the fence that separates their property. CJ McGee responded and issued a verbal trespass warning to both parties.

1:13 p.m. – Threats- In the vicinity of Savannah St- RP reported that her door had been hit several times by a neighbor, who had been threatening her also. Mark Harkins and Joleen McLaughlin responded.

1:13 p.m. – Trespassing- In the vicinity of E. 1040 Rd- RP reported that two males have entered his property threatening to fight him. Shane Petree responded.

1:26 p.m. – Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of Hwy. 10- RP reported having seen people enter into the abandoned house across the street. RP also reported that a male had tried to speak to his teenager recently, and he felt it might be connected. Shane Petree and Brian Stone responded.

3:42 p.m. – Breaking and Entering In the vicinity of 955 Rd- RP called 911 to report that someone was breaking into her house. Brian Stone and Shane Petree responded and made an arrest.

4:03 p.m. – Threats- In the vicinity of Gardenwalk- RP called to report that someone pulled through the parking lot and threatened the life of a teenager before speeding off. Mark Harkins and Kaitlyn Sanders responded.

5:15 p.m. – Information- In the vicinity of Cherokee Rose Rd- RP advised that she would like a deputy to escort her to Littlefield Gas station to pick up her friend, as the RP is unsure if the friend will have her children with her. CJ McGee responded.

5:37 p.m. – Information- Littlefield Gas station- RP advised that he felt there was a possible hostage situation regarding the previous call, and wanted a deputy to investigate. CJ McGee responded.

6:08 p.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely- In the vicinity of E. 1144 Rd- RP reported that someone was possibly shooting at her house, and was concerned that deputies might not be able to find her house. Chase Blake responded.

6:11 p.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely- In the vicinity of E. 1029 Rd- RP called to report that, earlier today, someone was shooting guns near his home, and someone may have shot at his wife. RP also has seen a bullet appear in the side of his shop. Tyler Engleman responded.

7:09 p.m. – Stolen Property- Motel in Vian- RP advised that someone has stolen her pull wagon from outside her room. Kaitlyn Sanders responded.

02/16/2024

8:40 a.m. – Stolen Property- In the vicinity of E. Lee St- RP advised that people continue to enter his property and steal things. Justin Deuley responded.

11:12 a.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown Location- RP requested a deputy investigate someone who appears to be using her children’s photos on her Facebook page. Cody Parkerson responded.

1:02 p.m. – Stolen Property- In the vicinity of E. 952 Rd- RP reported that her husband is at their lake house and has noticed items missing. Justin Deuley responded.

2:24 p.m. – Stolen Property- In the vicinity of E. 952 Rd- RP (from the previous call) called back to report that the people he suspects of stealing may have just entered the property. Justin Deuley responded.

2:45 p.m. – Stolen Property- Unknown Location- RP is in a rehabilitation center in Arkansas, but has had reports that his landlord may be stealing his property, including guns. Cody Parkerson responded.

11:59 p.m. – Disturbing the Peace In the vicinity of E. 1115 Rd- RP called to report that his neighbors had a fire outside and were fighting. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

02/17/2024

11:00 a.m. – Complaint- Vian Post Office- RP reported that his son is in a vehicle with his grandfather, who has no valid drivers license or vehicle registration. RP requested a deputy to investigate. Mark Harkins responded.

4:50 p.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown Location- RP called to request information about a family member’s dogs. Justin Deuley responded.

5:01 p.m. – Suspicious Person Harp’s (Vian)- RP advised that there was a man sitting on a bench outside the store who appeared to be drinking something. Justin Deuley responded.

5:23 p.m. – Harassing Phone Calls In the vicinity of E. 1030 Rd- RP has been receiving phone calls from someone who she believes is outside her home messing with her items. Justin Deuley responded.

6:4 p.m. – Disturbance- W.W. Grocery- RP advised that there were two people outside the establishment threatening people who declined to give them a ride. Daniel Whitus and Allen Ramey responded.

02/18/2024

1:43 a.m. – Disturbance- In the vicinity of E. 998 Rd- RP advised that there was a female suspect outside his home tearing items up on his porch. Allen Ramey, Hunter Hutchinson and Mark Choate responded.

10:36 p.m. – Vandalism- In the vicinity of S. 530 Rd- RP reported that her son was in an altercation with a male subject last night, and now her tires have been slashed. Justin Deuley responded.

2:10 p.m. – Speak with Deputy- Unknown Location in Vian- RP called to report that he received a Face Time call from a teenaged male who reported to the RP that there were several underaged children alone in the house and extensive drug use was taking place. Justin Deuley responded.

2:23 p.m. – Threats- In the vicinity of Old Hwy. 64- RP advised that his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend’s friend showed up at his house in an older Jeep Wrangler, and tried to make contact with him and refused to leave. Daniel Whitus responded.

7:30 p.m. – Suspicious Person- Pier 7- RP reported that there was a homeless male in the store asking questions to the clerk, who then felt threatened. Hunter Hutchinson and Allen Ramey responded.
