ORU women complete season sweeps of Nebraska-Omaha, South Dakota

Hannah Cooper led all scorers for the second straight game with a 21-point outing tonight. Four other Golden Eagles reached double-digits as ORU launched a balanced offensive attack. Taleyah Jones added 19 points, Ruthie Udoumoh and Emily Robinson chipped in with 13 each and former Howe Lady Lion Jalei Oglesby scored 12 off the bench.
The ORU women’s basketball team defeated the South Dakota 77-63 Saturday afternoon for their first ever season sweep of the Coyotes. Saturday was Senior Day as the Golden Eagles honored Udoumoh, Cooper and Sara Rodrigues prior to the game.
Oglesby led all scorers this afternoon netting 18 points off the bench shooting 8-of-12 from the floor. Oglesby highlighted a balanced offensive attack as five Golden Eagles reached double-digit scoring. Cooper scored 15 points, Jones and Robinson added 12 points each and Udoumoh chipped in 10.
The Golden Eagles (19-9 overall, 10-5 in Summit League play) will be back in action at 2 p.m. Saturday against Missouri-Kansas City for the regular-season finale at Swinney Center in Kansas City.
