The Lady Pirates (1-0) put away the game with a 14-run first inning. A five-run second inning put the game into runrule status.
For the game, Paige Curran was 3-for-3 with a double, a home run, six runs batted in and two runs scored, River Shoemake was 2-for-3 with a homer, three RBIs and a run scored, Victoria Scott was 2-for-2 with three RBIs and two runs scored, Kendra Huckbay doubled with an RBI and three runs scored and Peyton Curran doubled with an RBI and a run scored.
The Lady Pirates will play their next-door neighbors, the Webbers Falls Lady Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at home, then continue the season-opening homestead with a 4:30 p.m. Friday game against Arkoma, a 4:30 p.m. Monday game against Gans and a 5:30 p.m. Tuesday game against Vian.
