Muldrow looks to get season underway

By DAVID SEELEY SPORTS EDITOR

The Muldrow Lady Bulldogs slowpitch softball team will try once more Monday to get their 2024 season underway.

The Muldrow Lady Bulldogs slowpitch softball team will try once more Monday to get their 2024 season underway.

After having their first two games rained out at the end of last week, the Lady Bulldogs, who were 16-9 last season, will try to get their season started at 4:30 p.m. Monday at Vian.

The Lady Bulldogs return eight of last year’s 10 starters back — senior outfielder Ashley Price, senior pitcher Cailey Grinstead, junior outfielders Danica Tune and Eve Kennan, junior infielder Ryah Keenan, sophomore infielders Amaya Duran and Kaydence Young and sophomore utility player Jaydin Dean.

Senior outfielders Kaira Qualls and Abby Collins, sophomore outfielder Aubrey Luttrell, freshman infielder Amarie Duran and freshman outfielder Heidi McGuire also are expected to see quite a bit of playing time.

Jaiden Winkler, Riley Wilson and Avery Arnold round out the roster.

Editor’s Note: The 2024 Spring Sports Guide will publish in next Friday’s edition with team photographs, rosters and schedules. Your TIMES is needing team photographs, numeric rosters of baseball and slow-pitch softball teams, rosters for golf and track teams and schedules for all high school spring sports teams. They can be e-mailed to davids@cookson.news. Team photographs will need to have IDs with them, each row from left to right.
