Fishing Report for April 10, 2024

EUFAULA: April 5. Elevation is a foot above normal and stable. The water temperature is 59 degrees and murky. Striped bass, striped bass hybrids and white bass good on crankbaits, jigs and lipless baits below the dam, creek channels and tailwater. Blue and channel catfish good on cut bait, live bait, live shad, shad and sunfish around channels, river channel and river mouth. Crappie excellent on hair jigs, jigs, minnows and spoons around brush structure, creek channels, docks and rocks. Report submitted by Jake Rowland, game warden stationed in McIntosh County.

Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits, jerk baits, plastic baits and spinnerbaits around brush structure, main lake, points and shorelines. Crappie good on hair jigs, jigs, minnows, spoons and tube jigs around brush structure, docks and shorelines. Blue and channel catfish fair on chicken liver, cut bait, shad and stinkbait below the dam, channels, main lake, river channel, river mouth and rocks. Report submitted by C. GREENLEAF: April 7. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature 58 degrees and clear. Largemouth bass good on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, jerk baits and plastic baits around docks, points, shorelines and weed beds. Channel catfish fair on chicken liver and worms around docks, flats and main lake. Crappie fair on jigs and minnows around brush structure, docks and shallows. Report submitted by Dylan Langford, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.

LOWER ILLINOIS RIVER: April 5. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 47 degrees and clear. Trout, Rainbow good on caddis flies, hair jigs, in-line spinnerbaits, midges, nymphs and PowerBait below the dam, shallows and shorelines. Comments: Current water generation 850 cubic feet per second. Report submitted by Jerry Henry, game warden stationed in Sequoyah County.

ROBERT S. KERR: April 5. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 59 degrees and murky. Blue, channel and flathead catfish good on chicken liver, hot dogs, minnows, shad, sunfish and worms below the dam, main lake, points and tailwater. Crappie good on hair jigs, jigs and minnows below the dam, coves, shorelines, tailwater and weed beds. White bass good on hair jigs, jigs, minnows and small lures below the dam, channels, creek channels and river channel. Report submitted by Logan Shimp, game warden stationed in Haskell County.

TENKILLER: April 7. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 60 degrees and stained. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass good on crankbaits, plastic baits, spinnerbaits and spoons around brush structure, channels and docks. White bass good on Alabama rigs, in-line spinnerbaits and jigs around channels, coves, creek channels and river channel. Crappie fair on minnows, tube jigs and worms around brush structure, docks and main lake. Report submitted by Cody Youngblood, game warden stationed in Cherokee County.

WEBBERS FALLS: April 7. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 58 degrees and stained. Paddlefish good snagging below the dam, river channel and river mouth. Striped and white bass good on flukes, hair jigs, plastic baits and sassy shad below the dam, river channel and tailwater. Blue catfish fair on cut bait and shad around flats, points and river channel. Report submitted by Dylan Langford, game warden stationed in Muskogee County.

WISTER: April 5. Elevation is normal and stable. The water temperature is 63 degrees and stained. Largemouth bass good on buzz baits, plastic baits and spinnerbaits around brush structure and creek channels. Blue catfish good on cut bait and shad around main lake. Crappie excellent on jigs and minnows around brush structure, main lake and river channel. Report submitted by James Williams, game warden stationed in LeFlore County.
