Muldrow splits district doubleheader against Broken Bow

The Muldrow Bulldogs split their road district doubleheader Monday against Broken Bow, taking the opener 6-5 but losing the nightcap 18-4.

The Muldrow Bulldogs split their road district doubleheader Monday against Broken Bow, taking the opener 6-5 but losing the nightcap 18-4.

In the opener, the ’Dogs (13-8 overall, 6-4 in district play) rallied from a 2-1 second-inning deficit with a four-run third inning and a single run in the fourth inning for a 6-2 lead after four innings.

For the game, Colton Pulliam was 4-for-4 with a double, two runs batted in and a run scored, Jacob Gregory was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, Gabe Miller was 2-for-3 with a run scored and Drew Prewett was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Muldrow, whose Friday road game at Glenpool was canceled several weeks ago.

Pulliam (5-0) got the win, going the first 5.2 innings with four strikeouts. Jonah Claborn got the save, going the final 1.1 innings with a strikeout.

ROLAND 6, WESTVILLE 5

Monday in Westville, the Rangers (913 overall, 4-7 in district play) broke a 1-all tie with a run in the third inning and a pair for two-run innings in the fourth and fifth for a 6-1 lead.

For the game, Arkansas signee Carson Wiggins was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and a run batted in, Ashton Peters was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI and Resean Perryman was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored for Roland.

Peters (2-3) got the win, going six innings with 12 strikeouts and scattering four hits.

GORE 8, OKAY 0

Monday at Okay, the Pirates (11-12) got a three-hitter from the combination of Hunter McGee and Tate Brooksher. McGee (3-1) got the win, going the first three innings with five strikeouts. Brooksher got the final two outs, both by strikeouts.

For the game, Brooksher singled with two runs scored and a run batted in, Ayden Cox singled with an RBI and Keeton Rowe singled and scored once for Gore.

WEBBERS FALLS 14, CANADIAN 5

Monday at Canadian, Webbers Falls used six pitchers who combined on a one-hitter. Maddux Shelby (1-0) got his first win of the season, going two innings with two strikeouts. Gunner Shelby got two Ks in relief, while Brutus Robinson, Trysten Wilbourn and Ryan Cowan each had a strikeout apiece in their relief outings.

A three-run second inning put the Warriors (16-7) ahead 3-0 and a seven-run fifth inning put the game into runrule status.

For the contest, Braydan Robinson was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a run batted in, Stryker Chappell was 2-for-3 with a double, four RBIs and two runs scored, Gunner Shelby doubled with an RBI and a run scored, Preston Rowe doubled with an RBI and two runs scored and Maddux Shelby tripled with two runs scored and an RBI for the Warriors, whose Saturday home game with Porter Consolidated was canceled.

WILBURTON 13, VIAN 10, 9 INN.

Monday in Vian, the Diggers tied the game at 10-all in the fifth inning and won the game with a six-run ninth inning.

In defeat, Cash Collins was 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, three runs batted in and two runs scored, Draighton Fletcher was 2-for-5 with a double, three run scored and an RBI and Lastyn Taylor was 2-for-6 with an RBI and a run scored for the Wolverines (15-15).

Michael Polecat (3-3) took the loss in relief, going four innings with six strikeouts. Riley Ellis started and went the first four innings with seven Ks. Gabe Gilbert got the last three outs, two of which came by strikeout.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Nothing was reported on Central’s Monday home game with Colcord or Gans’ Monday road game at Leflore.
