Highway 17 road closure announced

Highway 17 (South 4620 Road, Maple Street) will be closed to traffic most of the day on Wednesday, April 24.

The closure in Sequoyah County Road District #2 is scheduled to begin about 8 a.m., and is expected to be open for travel in late afternoon.

Both lanes of the highway will be closed between Badger Lee Road (East 1050 Road) and McCoy Ford road (East 1040 Road) to replace a culvert.

Posted detours will be along McCoy Ford Road, U.S. 59 and Badger Lee Road.

Expect delays, and plan accordingly.
