14 tracksters set personal bests at Arkansas Twilight Meet

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Fourteen Oral Roberts University track athletes recorded personal bests and eight earned top-10 finishes at the Arkansas Twilight on Friday night at John McDonnell Field.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Fourteen Oral Roberts University track athletes recorded personal bests and eight earned top-10 finishes at the Arkansas Twilight on Friday night at John McDonnell Field.

On the women’s side, Hannah Vanderburg set a personal best in the 800-meter run (2:17.74) as did Olivia Grandson in the 200-meter dash (12.26 seconds), Rushell Johnson in the 1,500-meter run (4:43.23), Hannah Claytor in the 3,000-meter run (10:52.13) , Jayda Kelly in the long jump (4.98 meters), Addison Lankford in the long jump (4.58 meters) and Cailee Phillips in the 400-meter hurdles (1:09.4).

On the men’s side, Henry Falls set a PR in the 400-meter hurdles (52.88 seconds) as did John McLaughlin in the 400-meter dash (51.05), Kenneth Ikutiminu in the 100-meter dash (10.88), Alex Ntiyani (1:51.2) and Jaxson Brooks (1:53.43) in the 800-meter run, Solomon Grandson (22.39) and McLaughlin (23.25) in the 200-meter dash and Attwell Magake in the 1,500-meter run (3:51.78).

Falls continues to dominate in the 400-meter hurdles after he placed in the top-6 for the fourth consecutive meet.

Falls (400-meter hurdles) and Claytor (3,000-meter run) each finished in second place in their events, posting ORU’s highest finishers.

The ORU track teams will begin the postseason in the 2024 Summit League Championships, which will take place Thursday through Saturday at St. Paul, Minn.
