CATOOSA — Muldrow Bulldogs high jumper Teaguen Collins was second in the high jump with a leap of 6-4 to be the silver medalist and state runner-up at the Class 4A State Track Meet, which took place Friday and Saturday.

Collins also was eighth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.66 seconds.

Also in the Class 4A State Meet, the Sallisaw Lady Diamonds’ 800-meter relay team of Jazmyne Wright, Abby Kate Qualls, Hannah Palmer and Kayli Macon was fifth with a personal-best (PR) time of 1:45.91 after they were seeded eighth at state.

The Lady Diamonds’ 400-meter relay team of Macon, Qualls, Emma Martin and Wright was 12th (50.75 seconds), while the 1,600-meter relay team of Qualls, Macon, Kylie Holt and Wright was 14th (4:16.44).

The Sallisaw Black Diamonds’ 400-meter relay team of Aaron File, Cooper Cox, Kenyan Hill and Cooper Jackson was 15th (44.5 seconds).

Individually for Sallisaw, Qualls was seventh in the 100-meter dash (12.62 seconds), Macon was 11th in the 200-meter dash (26.61) and Macie Gremillion was 15th in the shot put (30-10.5).

In the Class 3A State Meet, Roland’s Uriah Phillips was 14th in the long jump (19-2.5).

Phillips’ teammate, D.J. Massey, who qualified for state in the high jump, did not perform at state due to moving to a new school, according to Roland Rangers coach Rashawn Eubanks.
