Sequoyah County police logs

05/13//2024 - 05/19/2024 During the week of May 13-19, 2024, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 26 animal calls, 127 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports. 05/13//2024 – 05/19/2024

During the week of May 13-19, 2024, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 26 animal calls, 127 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

05/13/2024

9:57 a.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely- In the vicinity of S. 4612 Rd- RP advised that last night people were shooting at her house again, and she thought that someone tapped on her window. The RP went on to say that she was too tired to call at the time of the alleged crime, but decided to call this morning. Daniel Whitus responded.

2:42 p.m. – Stolen Vehicle- Gans Git-N-Go- RP advised that he found a vehicle on his property and it does not belong to him. CJ McGee responded.

4:49 p.m. – Suspicious Person Valero in Vian- RP reported a man was sitting in his vehicle for 15 minutes at the gas pump. Kaitlyn Sanders responded.

6:49 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle- In the vicinity of Vian Love’s- RP advised that someone in a white car ran her off the road. Kaitlyn Sanders responded.

05/14/2024

1:46 a.m. – Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of E. 1050 Rd- RP advised that someone rang her doorbell and ran away. Duwaine Chase responded.

8:20 a.m. – Other- In the vicinity of S. 4770 Rd- RP called to request dispatch call a person back for them regarding a personal matter. CJ McGee responded.

11:25 a.m. – Property Dispute- In the vicinity of E. 1125 Rd- RP reported that her soon-to-be ex-husband refused to give her a trailer she owned prior to the marriage. CJ McGee responded.

12:36 p.m. – Drugs- In the vicinity of Highway 10A- RP called to report that while evicting some people from a home, she discovered drugs. Steven Edwards responded.

5:24 p.m. – Threats- In the vicinity of E. 1044 Loop- RP requested a deputy investigate some threatening text messages that she was receiving from a family member’s boyfriend. Tyler Engleman responded.

8:27 p.m. – Vandalism- Unknown Location- RP stated that someone hit her mailbox and drove away with the mailbox. Duwaine Chase responded.

8:49 p.m. – Vandalism- Unknown Location- RP (from previous call) called to report that the person in the car that stole her mailbox just threw the mailbox into her driveway and left. Duwaine Chase responded.

05/15/2024

9:18 a.m. – Fraud- In the vicinity of E. 1120 Rd- RP advised that someone is trying to blackmail him by demanding his tax refund be given to them or they will post adult photographs of the RP online. Daniel Whitus responded.

9:39 a.m. – Suspicious Person Unknown Location- RP reported that an older lady was asking people for a ride, then left with someone she appeared to know who was waiting for her across the street in a parking lot. Joleen McLaughlin responded.

12:29 p.m. – Vandalism- Fleetwood Cemetery- RP advised that people were continuing to damage the cemetery grounds with a four-wheeler. Shane Petree responded.

4:53 p.m. – Threats- In the vicinity of E. 1120 Rd- RP advised that someone was driving in front of his house and is possibly the person harassing him. Shane Petree responded.

4:55 p.m. – Threats- In the vicinity of Hwy. 101- RP reported that someone pulled a gun on him and is now stalking him via social media. Shane Petree responded.

7:06 p.m. – Harassment- In the vicinity of E. 995 Rd- RP called to report that someone on dirt bikes yelled at her son. Mark Choate responded.

7:42 p.m. – Harassment- In the vicinity of E. 995 Rd- RP advised that the dirt bikes (from previous call) are now possibly driving on her property and they might be messing with her fence. Mark Choate responded.

7:51 p.m. – Information- In the vicinity of E. 995 Rd- RP reported that he was riding his four-wheeler on a country road when a man and woman pulled a gun on him. Mark Choate responded.

9:24 p.m. – Disturbance- In the vicinity of Hwy. 59- RP advised that he could hear someone screaming and profanity that was disturbing the peace. Mark Choate responded.

11:14 p.m. – Threats- In the vicinity of 4550 Rd- RP advised that his former boss discovered that he was on drugs and is now threatening to get a gang together to hurt him. Justin Deuley and Mark Choate responded.

05/16/2024

11:10 a.m. – Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of Hwy. 64- A business owner called to report that someone was carrying items out of his shop. Shane Petree, Justin Deuley and Daniel Whitus responded.

7:06 p.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely- In the vicinity of E. 1115 Rd- RP advised that her neighbor was shooting her house. Mark Choate responded.

11:09 p.m. – Stolen Property- Love’s in Vian- RP reported that someone walked out of the store with beer and sat down drinking it in the parking lot. Johnny Turner responded.

05/17/2024

2:11 p.m. – Property Dispute- In the vicinity of S. 4720 Rd- RP reported that his neighbor was harassing and provoking him. Coty Biles responded.

2:55 p.m. – Speak with Deputy- Unknown Location- RP wanted to speak with a deputy regarding someone going to her house and getting her items, as she was evicted. CJ McGee responded.

8:25 p.m. – Trespassing- In the vicinity of E. Hunter- RP called to request a Vian officer go to his house and deal with a man in a Subway uniform harassing him. Caleb Taylor responded.

11:42 p.m. – Prowler- In the vicinity of Hwy. 64B- RP reported having seen a man at a construction site in jeans and a “nasty looking” shirt looking suspicious. Tyler Engleman and Duwaine Chase responded.

05/18/2024

9:41 a.m. – Drugs- In the vicinity of S. 4682 Rd- RP stated that he picked up a box of ammo from the side of the road and found that it contained drugs. Andrew Edwards responded.

10:21 a.m. – Speak with Deputy- In the vicinity of E. 1026 Rd- RP reported that a neighbor was speeding down the road close to her toddler child, and then the driver cussed her out. Andrew Edwards responded.

3:33 p.m. – Stolen Property- In the vicinity of E. 1120 Rd- RP advised that someone stole his burn barrel. CJ McGee responded.

7:30 p.m. – Altercation- Walmart Sallisaw- RP reported that she was in an altercation with a man in the parking lot, then reported that he was an active shooter, but then said he did not shoot anything. Duwaine Chase responded.

8:01 p.m. – Information- Bradley Ford- RP advised that there were minors drinking whiskey and acting odd. Jeff Neighbors and Duwaine Chase responded.

10:03 p.m. – Trespassing- In the vicinity of N. Bonham – RP advised that there were teenagers on her porch. Joseph Herrera responded but could not make contact with the suspects nor the RP.

11:01 p.m. – Stolen Property- In the vicinity of S. 4497 Rd- RP called to report that she had a fourwheeler, phone, and other items stolen from her home. Tyler Engleman responded.

05/19/2024

1:58 a.m. – Disturbance- In the vicinity of E. Cherokee- RP reported that her neighbors were yelling. Jeff Neighbors and Duwaine Chase responded.

2:01 a.m. – Assist- In the vicinity of E. 1034 Rd- RP called to ask a deputy to help her with her car as the battery was dead. Travis Dickerson responded.

12:06 p.m. – Harassment- In the vicinity of Suzanne St- RP stated that a person she has a PO against was texting her. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

12:43 p.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown Location- RP reported that her vehicle broke down and was towed to a tow yard. Upon attempting to retrieve the vehicle, the tow company refused to release it to her and threatened to put a lien on the car. CJ McGee responded.

2:42 p.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely- In the vicinity of E. 4646 Rd- RP advised that he drove by a residence and the man fired a shot at him. Hunter Hutchinson, Colton Goff, Steven Edwards, Herb Hutchinson and OHP responded and made an arrest.

2:47 p.m. – Vandalism- In the vicinity of 1100 Rd- RP stated that, while making postal deliveries, a man threw a rock at her car and broke the windshield. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

5:50 p.m. – Threats- In the vicinity of S. 4770 Rd- RP advised that she is receiving harassing text messages from a male who claims to be in Spiro. Jeff Neighbors responded.
