Local baseball duo represent area at OBCA All-State Game

By DAVID SEELEY SPORTS EDITOR

ENID — Sallisaw’s Brock Streun and Roland’s Carson Wiggins represented the area at the 2024 Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association Middle School All-State Baseball Game, which took place Sunday afternoon at Enid’s David Allen Memorial Ballpark. The Middle East defeated the Middle West 4-3.

Streun, who signed last month with Crowder College in Neosho, Mo. tripled in three at-bats in Sunday afternoon’s game.

Wiggins, a University of Arkansas signee, did not play in the game due to preparing for participating in the Major League Combine, which will take place June 18-20 in Phoenix.
