Razorbacks women’s soccer schedule revealed

By Arkansasrazorbacks.com

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Arkansas Razorbacks women’s soccer team will return to action in August to kick off the 2024-25 athletic year.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The Arkansas Razorbacks women’s soccer team will return to action in August to kick off the 2024-25 athletic year.

The slate features 16 regular-season matches and three exhibitions against 10 of the teams that were in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, one College Cup team and five reigning league champions. Of the 16 matches, 10 and the exhibition against Kansas will be played at Razorback Field.

“The schedule meets all of our objectives,” head coach Colby Hale said. “It prepares us for SEC play, and we get outside of our comfort zone, which gives us an opportunity to grow. It also sets us up for the postseason per their parameters. If you want to be a championship program, you have to play a top schedule, and this certainly seems to fit that.”

Arkansas will begin the season at Razorback Field for just the third time since 2016.

The Hogs will face Western Kentucky and Gonzaga for the first time in program history.

For the fourth straight season, the Razorbacks will face a College Cup participant from the previous season in Brigham Young University.

The Southeastern Conference Tournament will return to Pensacola, Fla. for the fourth straight year. It will include the top 10 teams in the league and run from Nov. 3-10.

The Hogs will begin with three exhibition matches — two of which are at home with Kansas on Aug. 4 at 11 a.m. and Seminole State at 7 p.m. Aug. 11, with the one road soccer scrimmage taking place at 7 p.m. Aug. 10 at Kansas State.

The regular season will begin with a 7 p.m. Aug. 15 home match against John Brown before hitting the road for the first road match of the season at 7 p.m. Aug. 22 at Michigan State.

The Razorbacks will have six straight home matches following, 1 p.m. Aug. 25 against Northwestern State, La., 7 p.m. Aug. 29 against Gonzaga, 1 p.m. Sept. 1 against Western Kentucky and at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 7 against BYU before they will begin SEC play with home matches against Louisiana State University (6:30 p.m. Sept. 19) and Missouri (1 p.m. Sept. 22).

After a road SEC match against Vanderbilt at 7 p.m. Sept. 26 in Nashville, Tenn., the Hogs will return home to entertain South Carolina at 1 p.m. Sept. 29 before going out on the road once more for a SEC match against Mississippi State at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 4 in Starkville, Miss.

On Oct. 10, the Razorbacks will welcome Tennessee to the hill for an SEC match-up before visiting SEC newcomers Oklahoma (2 p.m. Oct. 13 in Norman) and Texas (6:30 p.m. Oct. 18 in Austin, Texas).

The home regular-season finale will be at 6:30 p.m. OCt. 24 against Texas A&M before ending the season up at Mississippi.
