ORU reveals 2024 women’s soccer schedule

By ORU MEDIA RELATIONS

TULSA — Oral Roberts University women’s soccer coach Austin Risenhoover and the Golden Eagles have announced the 2024 schedule.

TULSA — Oral Roberts University women’s soccer coach Austin Risenhoover and the Golden Eagles have announced the 2024 schedule.

The 2024 slate features 19 regular season matches and eight home contests.

After a home scrimmage against the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, the Golden Eagles will open the season with two road matches — Aug. 15 at Texas A&M-Commerce and Aug. 18 at Oklahoma State.

The home opener is against McNeese State on Aug. 22 before facing two instate rivals — Aug. 25 at Oklahoma and the annual battle with crosstown rival Tulsa on Aug. 29 at home.

After two road matches against Texas Tech on Sept. 1 and against Tarleton State on Sept. 5, ORU will return home for back-to-back matches against Stephen F. Austin on Sept. 8 and Missouri State on Sept. 12.

The final two non-Summit League matches will be on the road — at Arkansas-Little Rock on Sept. 15 and against Abilene Christian on Sept. 19.

The Summit League opener will be against North Dakota on Sept. 26 at home before the conference road opener Sept. 29 against St. Thomas.

After a home conference match against Denver on Oct. 6, the Golden Eagles will travel to meet North Dakota State on Oct. 10.

The final two home matches of the year will be against Missouri-Kansas City on Oct. 17 and Nebraska-Omaha on Oct. 20.

The regular season will end with a road trip to the state of South Dakota where they will meet South Dakota on Oct. 24 and South Dakota State on Oct. 27.

“As you can see, our schedule this year is loaded with conference champions, a multitude of Power Four schools, and some challenging, fun games at home,” Risenhoover said. “We’ve created a schedule to prepare us in our ‘Quest to be Champions’ in the Summit League. With the talent we’re returning from the spring and the new players we’ve added, we’re very excited for the challenge that lies in front of us and are ecstatic to compete against these teams.”
