Razorbacks wide receiver named to Biletnikoff Award Watch List

By HUNTER CORNELIUSEN ARKANSASRAZORBACKS.COM

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Arkansas wide receiver Andrew Armstrong has been named to the 2024 Biletnikoff Award Watch List, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation announced last Wednesday.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Arkansas wide receiver Andrew Armstrong has been named to the 2024 Biletnikoff Award Watch List, the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation announced last Wednesday.

The Biletnikoff Award is presented annually to the nation’s best pass catcher amongst all Football Bowl Subdivision student-athletes.

Armstrong returns for his second season on “The Hill” after leading Arkansas in receptions (56), receiving yards (764), receiving yards per game (63.7) and receiving touchdowns (five) a year ago. No stranger to preseason recognition, he landed on Phil Steele’s preseason All-Southeastern Conference fourth team and recently received preseason All-SEC honorable mention recognition from College Football Network.

A native of Dallas, Armstrong started all 12 games and caught at least two passes in every game, including a career-best nine vs. Brigham Young University for 98 yards in 2023. He logged 103 yards on three catches in the Razorbacks’ first-ever win at Florida and hauled in a pair of TDs in the victory vs. Kent State early in the season.

The Biletnikoff Award annually recognizes the college football season’s outstanding FBS receiver. Any player, regardless of position (wide receiver, tight end, slot back and running back), who catches a pass, is eligible for the award. As such, the Biletnikoff Award recognizes college football’s outstanding receiver.

Arkansas will open the season at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 29 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, Ark.
