Four local teams, the Muldrow Festival host Lady Bulldogs, Sallisaw, Central and Vian, all got their first wins of the 2024 fast-pitch softball season Friday on Day 1 of the festival.

The host Lady Bulldogs split their two games on the day, beating archrival Roland 8-5 in the final game of the day after being blanked 8-0 by Eufaula.

The Lady Diamonds got new coach Wes Green his first win with his new team as Sallisaw downed Stilwell 11-6.

New Central softball coach Victor Pierce also got his first win as coach of the Lady Tigers as Central edged Vian 5-4 after the Lady Wolverines won their first game of the fall season with a 10-1 victory over Salina.

Roland split their games, shutting out Central 4-0 before falling to the archrival Lady Bulldogs.
