A book signing event featuring two local authors will be held on Saturday, Sept. 14, at Sozos Coffee Company & Bistro in Sallisaw.
Rebecca J. Cole and Yvonne Tillapaugh, sisters and co-owners of Becca’s Bargains in Sallisaw, will be at the business from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., where you can stop by and visit and get a signed and/or copy of their latest books.
Cole is a graduate of Vian High School and is married to Ron Cole. The couple spent 14 years living at three different Air Force bases: Tucson, Arizona., Las Vegas, Nev., and Abilene, Tex., before moving back to Oklahoma.
Cole said her genre is sweet romance, and she has published four books: Sunday School Sweethearts, For the Love of Mercy, Montana’s Heart, and Emma Grace: Dante’s Obsession.
Her fifth novel, Emma Grace: Bella Isola, will be available later this year.
Tillapaugh and her late husband, Tom, founded Denver Street School in Denver, Colo., a private high school for drop-outs and troubled kids. After the death of her husband, she moved back to Oklahoma in 2021, where she now cares for her 91-year-old mother, Rosa Lee Groleau.
Tillapaugh writes Christian romantic suspense, and has published two books, Silence, and Angel in the Streets. Angel in the Streets is based on her experiences working in an inner-city coffee house in Tulsa.
She is currently working on a middle-grade fantasy series.
