Lady Tigers go 1-3 in Oologah Tournament

OOLOGAH — The Central Lady Tigers went 1-3 in last weekend’s Oologah Tournament, with the lone win being a 3-2 victory over the Dewey Bulldoggers. The three defeats were an 11-2 loss to Mannford and a 6-2 loss to Fairland on Thursday and an 8-0 loss to the host Oologah Lady Mustangs on Saturday.

In the victory over Dewey, a two-out, walk-off RBI single by Brenliegh Allen scored Allie Harris to break a 2-all tie to get Central the win.

For the game, Ayrland Jiles was 3-for-3 with a run scored, while Allen was 2-for-3 with the game-winning RBI for Central.

Allen (4-7) got the win, fanning three batters in five innings.

In the loss to Mannford, after the Lady Tigers cut their deficit to 2-1 after an inning, the Lady Pirates put away the game with a five-run second inning and a single run in the fourth inning for an 8-1 lead.

In defeat, Allen was 2-for-2 with a run scored for Central.

Jiles (1-5) suffered the loss, going the first 3.2 innings with three strikeouts. Allen went the final 1.1 innings with three Ks.

In the loss to Fairland, the Lady Owls scored twice in the second inning to tie the game at 2-all, then scored four runs in the third inning to take the lead for good.

In defeat, Allen was 2-for-2 with a double, Rowland doubled and Jiles hit a two-run homer in the first inning to put Central on top 2-0. Jiles took the loss.

In the loss to Oologah, the Lady Tigers were three-hit. The Lady Mustangs scored three runs in the fifth inning, four runs in the second inning and a run in the third inning to take an 8-0 lead.

Jiles, Brianna Taylor and Charlie Petree each singled for Central.

Allen suffered the loss, getting a strikeout in four innings.
