During the week of Sept. 2 – 8, 2024, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 19 animal calls, 143 traffic stops, and numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included in last week’s reports:

09/02/2024

11:08 a.m. – Breaking and Entering Smoke Shop- RP reported having seen a late 1990’s GMC pickup truck at the shop. Upon investigating, he found that the driver had broken into the building. Caleb Taylor, Robert Johnson and Brian Stone responded.

11:23 a.m. – Suspicious Vehicle- In the vicinity of S. 4540 Rd- RP advised that there was a vehicle abandoned at her property. Court Waters responded.

2:31 p.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely- In the vicinity of S. 4500 Rd- RP stated there was a man in the roadway shooting a gun towards the cell phone tower. Brian Stone responded.

6:14 p.m. – Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of Steve Owens Rd RP reported that there was a man banging on his neighbor’s door. Justin Deuley, Court Waters and Brett Visor responded.

6:24 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle- In the vicinity of Ray Fine Dr- RP reported having seen a car speeding through the neighborhood. Brett Visor responded.

8:18 p.m. – Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of S. 4497 Rd- RP stated that there was an unknown man wandering around in his yard. Justin Deuley and Court Waters responded.

5:06 a.m. – Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of S. 4498 Rd- RP informed dispatch that there was someone outside her house. Jeff Neighbors responded.

8:25 a.m. – Property Dispute- In the vicinity of E. Badger Lee- RP reported that her ex is threatening to move into the house that he recently moved away from. CJ McGee responded.

8:37 a.m. – Speak with Deputy- In the vicinity of S. 4528 Rd- RP had a question about visitation with his children. Brian Stone responded.

9:54 a.m. – Stolen Property- In the vicinity of the Sale Barn – RP reported having seen a silver sedan leaving the barn, and upon entering they found some items had been stolen. CJ McGee responded.

9:59 a.m. – Noise Complaint- In the vicinity of S. Martin Luther King Jr.- RP advised that his neighbors had been waking him up each morning with loud music. Kevin Kirk and Vian PD responded.

10:07 a.m. – Vandalism- In the vicinity of S. 4770 Rd- RP wanted to make a report about someone who came to his home and kicked in the front door. CJ cGee, Justin Deuley and Court Waters responded.

11:05 a.m. – Breaking and Entering In the vicinity of S. 4671 Rd- RP stated that his neighbor’s home was recently broken into and thought she had seen the suspects on the neighbor’s property. Justin Deuley and Court Waters responded.

11:58 a.m. – Property Dispute- In the vicinity of Pinhook Corner- RP owns land near Pinhook Corner and the neighbor blocked his access to the property. The RP requested a deputy to assist him in accessing his land. Brian Stone responded.

2:31 p.m. – Trespassing- In the vicinity of S. 4707 Rd- RP reported that someone was tearing his fence down. Justin Deuley responded.

2:38 p.m. – Stolen Property- In the vicinity of E. 979 Rd- RP stated that she has had issues with people illegally trespassing on her property, and believes they may have stolen some things. Justin Deuley, Court Waters and Brian Stone responded.

2:49 p.m. – Fraud- In the vicinity of E. 1063 Rd- RP stated that she purchased something from Facebook Marketplace, and the item is not what she was told it was. Court Waters, Justin Deuley and Daniel Whitus responded.

6:42 p.m. – Extra Patrol Request Unknown Location- RP requested extra police presence in his neighborhood as there is a pickup truck that has been driving erratically. Jeff Neighbors and Duwaine Chase responded.

7:29 p.m. – Suspicious Person- Unknown Location- RP advised that there was a female standing in the middle of the road. Jeff Neighbors responded.

7:42 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle- In the vicinity of W. Treat Rd- RP advised that there were two vehicles parked in her driveway that she did not recognize. Daniel Whitus responded.

09/04/2024

8:21 a.m. – Speak with Deputy Moffett Store- RP requested a deputy to respond to an incident at the store, but could not tell dispatch the nature of the call. Court Waters and Daniel Whitus responded.

8:54 a.m. – Vandalism- In the vicinity of E. 1000 Rd- RP is an employee of a utility company doing work in the area that reported people were shooting at the fiber optic lines as he was trying to work. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

9:22 a.m. – Stolen Property- Ascot Park- RP reported that, overnight, someone stole tools from his property. Daniel Whitus and Court Waters responded.

10:54 a.m. – Other- In the vicinity of E. 1054 Rd- RP called to report that their neighbor was pouring concrete on the road to make a speed bump, and that it was damaging vehicles. Court Waters and Daniel Whitus responded.

11:27 a.m. – Suspicious Vehicle- In the vicinity of Chestnut Circle- RP advised that their neighbor has parked his truck between their two homes, and would like the truck removed. Robert Rice and CalebTaylor responded.

11:38 a.m. – Suspicious Person Polk’s Bug Shop- RP reported having seen a man walking around the area acting strange. Court Waters and Daniel Whitus responded.

1:31 p.m. – Fraud- Unknown Location- RP advised that he purchased a hunting license for a piece of property, but it appears that the person was not the owner of the property. Daniel Whitus and Court Waters responded.

6:54 p.m. – Trespassing- In the vicinity of Old Hwy. 64- RP advised that someone was on his property in a pickup truck. Allen Ramey responded.

11:05 p.m. – Prowler- In the vicinity of Wildwood Trail- RP reported that someone was knocking on his door. Colt Oliver responded.

11:36 p.m. – Prowler- In the vicinity of S. 4590 Rd- RP reported having heard someone outside walking around. Mark Choate and Gary Adams responded.

09/05/2024

4:36 p.m. – Prowler- In the vicinity of S. 4498 Rd- RP advised that there were two individuals outside his residence potentially drilling something. Mark Choate responded.

6:11 a.m. – Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of S. 4655 Rd- RP advised that someone was walking around with a flashlight. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

7:15 a.m. – Other- In the vicinity of E. 960 Rd- RP, a representative from Cookson Hills Electric Co., wanted to follow-up on the fiber optic lines that had been shot near McQuicks. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

9:41 a.m. – Altercation- In the vicinity of S. 4720 Rd- RP stated that his wife was threatening to report his car stolen if he left the house. Daniel Whitus and Court Waters responded.

3:55 p.m. – Other- In the vicinity of E. 1070 Rd- RP advised that he had left his wallet at home, but his roommates will not allow him to enter to obtain it. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

4:36 p.m. – Speak with Deputy- In the vicinity of Old Hwy. 64- RP reported that vehicles were driving near his home, and he believed that they were illegally scanning homes to “jam ” security cameras. Steven Edwards responded.

9:38 p.m. – Information- Unknown Location in Muldrow- RP demanded to speak with a deputy regarding an incident that happened at a recent football game. Allen Ramey responded.

09/06/2024

12:42 a.m. – Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of Hwy. 82- RP called to report that there was a female who was outside her residence shouting. Mark Choate responded.

1:22 p.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely- In the vicinity of E. 968 Rd- RP reported that there was a vehicle near his house that appeared to have two occupants who were shooting at houses. Allen Ramey responded.

8:40 a.m. – Trespassing- In the vicinity of E. 958 Rd- RP reported that the previous owners of his house continue to come to his home. Brian Stone responded.

4:56 p.m. – Trespassing- In the vicinity of E. 958 Rd- RP reported having seen three males loading items into a pickup truck across the street. Justin Deuley responded.

5:08 p.m. – Speak with a Deputy In the vicinity of W. Cherokee Ave- RP advised that there was a deputy at his house, and wanted to know what they needed. Justin Deuley responded.

9:51 p.m. – Disturbance- In the vicinity of Christi Ln- RP advised that there was a loud banging on her front door, but only ever at night time. Brett Visor and Keenan Gibson responded.

11:48 p.m. – Disturbance- In the vicinity of E. 1098 Rd- RP stated that there were people in her yard yelling at her as she was leaving for work. Jeff Neighbors responded.

09/07/2024

2:42 p.m. – Disturbance- In the vicinity of Steve Owens Rd- RP reported that her neighbor was at her residence, and she has an active PO against the neighbor. Brian Stone responded.

3:11 p.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely- In the vicinity of S. 4727 Rd- RP called to report that their neighbors were shooting guns again. CJ McGee responded.

7:32 p.m. – Harassment- In the vicinity of Chestnut Circle- RP reported that some neighborhood kids are harassing her kids. Kaitlyn Sanders responded.

9:!0 p.m. – Noise Complaint Unknown Location- RP is an employee at Marvel and advised there was a group of campers with fireworks. Tyler Engleman and Brett Visor responded.

10:48 p.m. – Noise Complaint- In the vicinity of E. 1100 Rd- RP reported that there were about 40 people in the neighbor’s yard playing loud music. Tyler Engleman, Jeff Neighbors and Duwaine Chase responded.

09/08/2024

11:39 a.m. – Property Dispute- In the vicinity of Country Lane- RP advised that her neighbor has blocked off the road because he believes that the easement is his private land. CJ McGee responded.

11:40 a.m. – Suspicious Vehicle- In the vicinity of E. 1060 Rd- RP reported that a vehicle was parked half on her property. CJ McGee responded.

11:44 a.m. – Harassment- In the vicinity of E. Cherokee Ave- RP advised that her neighbors drive aggressively by her house to harass her. Brian Stone and Justin Deuley responded.

12:24 p.m. – Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of Hwy. 64- RP stated that a female was walking around looking into residence windows. Brian Stone responded.

2:33 p.m. – Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of S. 4660 Rd- RP stated that someone had left a frightening note on their door. Justin Deuley responded.

3:06 p.m. – Disturbance- In the vicinity of S. 471 Rd- RP reported that there was an altercation happening next door, and that there were people fighting in the street. Brian Stone responded.

5:00 p.m. – Breaking and Entering In the vicinity of S. 4700 Rd- RP said someone was inside of her home taking items without her permission. Brian Stone and Justin Deuley responded.

6:18 p.m. – Disturbance- In the vicinity of S. 4497 Rd- RP requested a deputy to remove an adult family member from the residence. Jeff Neighbors responded.

8:25 p.m. – Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of S. 4498 Rd- RP requested help as several people were trying to break into his home. Jeff Neighbors, Brian Rutherford and Justin Deuley responded.

9:02 p.m. – Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of S. 4750 Rd- RP advised a man was on the side of the road trying to flag her down. Duwaine Chase responded.

9:41 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle-In the vicinity of Old Hwy. 64- RP reported having seen a car parked alongside the road for five minutes. Duwaine Chase responded.

11:23 p.m. – Prowler- In the vicinity of S. 4498 Rd- RP reported that someone was at her back door trying to gain entry into her home. Justin Deuley responded.
