After slow start, Wolverines claw past Kiefer for home-opening victory

Vian scores final 45 points for come-from-behind win

There may have been some anxious Vian football fans after their Wolverines trailed 14-0 to the Kiefer Trojans after the first quarter in Friday night’s home opener at St. John Stadium. Then, came the final three quarters.

The Vian defense pitched a shutout, while the Wolverines ended up scoring the game’s final 45 points over the final three periods en route to a 45-14 home-opening victory.
