Webbers Falls quarterback Brutus Robinson accounted for four of the team’s six touchdowns. He scored on TD runs of 2 and 1 yards, while throwing two touchdown passes — a 9-yarder to Thadan Yandell and a 25-yarder to Trysten Wilbourn.
Aiden Turley scored twice on TD runs of 1 and 3 yards, while Austin Barger scored on a 1-yard touchdown run after the play before he rambled 50 yards to the Canadian 1-yard line. Passing, Robinson was 9-of 14 for 247 yards and two TDs. “We threw it pretty good,” said Webbers Falls coach Trent Holt about his team’s improvement on its passing game. The Warriors (2-0) only led 8-0 after a quarter, but put the game into mercy-rule status with a 30-point third quarter.
The Warriors will get its first tough test of the season when they welcome the Keota Lions to Smokey Cox Stadium for a 7 p.m. contest this Friday night.
