TOPS fights obesity

By Billie Anthony

This Monday morning we had 14 in attendance. Our best weight loss was from Donna with a loss of 2.7 pounds. Great job, Donna! Our Two Bit Bowl contest drew out Machell’s name but she had a slight gain, so the quarters stay in the bowl for next week’s drawing. The Ladder contest is a close call with Shirley and Brenda H ahead with two more rungs to reach the top. A new surprise box was passed around for the members to feel how heavy the box is. We had four stickers marked off on the surprise box. We have nine more boxes to be crossed off. Our Chapter Challenge for this coming week is to encourage our friends more.

We had eight members go to the TOPS Fun Day in Wagoner last Saturday. We had several receive certificates of appreciation. State Coordinator Randy was in attendance and brought a program on TOPS Rules trivia. Our newbies enjoyed going to their first Fun Day. The next TOPS Fun day will be December 14 in Muskogee. A scheduled SAG Happy Day will be in Antlers October 19. It will be a Fall or Halloween theme.

Our program was a combination of discussing the members that went to the Fun Day in Wagoner and we also discussed about “TOPS Fights Obesity”. Let’s get moving, TOPS NATION!

Tops Fights Obesity is an inclusive campaign that encourages everyone to become more active. By participating in TOPS Fights Obesity you are not only improving your own health and well-being but also supporting our mission to have a healthier community.
