FCCLA names leadership team
The Sallisaw Chapter FCCLA recently named its leadership team just in time for fall. The Northeast Region recently hosted their annual LEAD Conference in Glenpool for all NE chapter officers, with Sallisaw FCCLA being among them.
The Sallisaw Chapter FCCLA recently named its leadership team just in time for fall. The Northeast Region recently hosted their annual LEAD Conference in Glenpool for all NE chapter officers, with Sallisaw FCCLA being among them.
The following SHS Family and Consumer Sciences students will be leading their chapter during the 2024-2025 academic year. They are: Chapter President and State VP of Marketing – Hannah Brake, Chapter Vice President / Officer of Public Relations, and Northeast District 5 VP of Community Service Adrianna Allen, Officer of Community Service – Miriam Burmaster, Officer of STAR Events – Jocelyn Coffman, fellow Officers of Membership – Sophia Teague, Mya Thomas, and Clae Stilwell, along with 8th Grade Representative Emerson Meredith.
Sallisaw’s group of officers have earned their leadership roles and are pursuing a successful year of competitive events as well. This past spring Jocelyn Coffman won third place in State STAR Events for Level 3 Interview Skills. Now, a senior at Sallisaw High School, Jocelyn and fellow officers have recruited a large number of new competitors to the team.
Sallisaw FCCLA as a whole is looking forward to some new and familiar community service opportunities. This October they will be teaming up with the Sallisaw FFA for their second annual dinner and auction fundraiser. FCCLA will be partnering with the Sallisaw BPA in hosting another successful Fall Festival at the high school this November as well.
