SALLISAW TOPS

Members do a ‘Wellness Check’

By Billie Anthony

We had a great morning Monday. We had sixteen in attendance plus a visit from our Area Advocate, Amanda and her husband John. Our best weight loss came from Phyllis with a loss of 3.1 pounds! Great job, Phyllis! Keep up the good work! Neve had her name drawn for the Two Bit Bowl, but she had a slight gain, so we go another week for the drawing next Monday. We have two blocks left for the Lucky Lotto, so we will definitely have a winner next week. A new contest will begin for the chapter members. Seven stickers were crossed off of the Surprise box. Our chapter challenge for this coming week is to ‘Do something nice for yourself’.

A scheduled SAG Happy Day will be in Antlers Oct. 19. It will be a Fall or Halloween theme. The next sanctioned TOPS Fun day will be Dec. 14 in Muskogee. The Theme is ‘Highway to Health—Enjoy the journey.’ Our program was a demonstration on making the best hand cream for winter months. It is made with a container of vasoline, container of vitamin E and bottle of hand lotion. Mix with a mixer until fluffy and place in containers to be given to family or friends. Advocate Amanda brought her program from TOPS headquarter. The theme ‘A Wellness Check— For the health of it’. Her program was very informative.

It cost $52 a year to join TOPS Club INC. We meet at First Christian Church, 706 N Wheeler, Sallisaw, Monday at 10:30am-12pm. We begin weighing at 10:30am and the meeting starts at 11 am and ends at 12. For more info, please call Billie at 918/413-1383 or Lynda at 360/8242091. We look forward to meeting you.
