Think on these things
American Indians are known to use sage leaves to keep evil spirits away. Even though some may feel humor to think of this way to protect themselves — but on the other hand, what are we doing to keep our lives free of meddlesome spirite, things, people? Are we far too sophisticated to consider protecting ourselves from trouble — other than the known things so familiar to us.

Trouble is a whirling edy we can stare into until it pulls us in where we lose control. We most likely think of television-style trouble, but it is far more simple than that; take food and drink and general ordinary things that we should avoid. Who of us has not stared at a piece of pie and have thought that we do not need it but we can not get our attention away from it — so we take it.
Since the Indians have faith in sage, maybe we should consider it. Faith is the answer. Samuel Butler said that we can do very little with faith, but we can do nothing without it.
