Your TIMES held its annual Women’s Expo on Thursday at Sallisaw Middle School where an estimated 300 women took advantage of a day filled with fun, food and fellowship.
This year’s Women’s Expo magazine and event were planned and decorated around a “Denim & Diamonds” theme, and a loaded baked potato lunch was served to those in attendance.
All the stories and pictures in the promotional magazine were about local women, their struggles and successes, and accomplishments.
With more than 30 vendors on site, local ladies were also able to learn about goods and services available to them. Multiple door prizes were given away throughout the event.
To close the event, Jeff Mayo, owner and publisher of Your TIMES, presented the Sequoyah County Women In Business organization with a $500 check for their scholarship fund. The organization’s scholarship fund helps assist local ladies wishing to attend college or return to college to further their education.
