Fishing club now offered at Vian Public Schools

Vian Public Schools now has a fishing club for any student wishing to be a member. The club will be through The Bass Federation’s ‘Student Angler Federation.”

“We are hoping to vet members of the community who are interested in being a boat captain, and put them in a pool that we can draw from for those who do not already have access to boats,” Vian School Resource officer Robert Allen said. “We will also have kayak fishing and will be entering kayak bass tournaments.

Allen said once the high school team has its first meeting and gets established, they will look into possibly starting a junior high club.

Students wishing to join, or any adult wishing to volunteer or donate items is asked to contact Allen at the school.
