Sallisaw, Muldrow players named to All-District 4A-6 Team
Three Sallisaw Lady Diamonds and three Muldrow Lady Bulldogs were named to the 2024 All-District 4A-6 Softball Team last week.
Three Sallisaw Lady Diamonds and three Muldrow Lady Bulldogs were named to the 2024 All-District 4A-6 Softball Team last week.
Sallisaw shortstop Madison Green, third baseman Channing Wilson and catcher Sydney Weedon made the team, while Muldrow outfielder Danica Tune, infielder Kaydence Young and catcher Amarie Duran also made the all-district team.
Green, who also was named to the All-Region 6 Softball Team which makes her eligible to be named an Oklahoma Fast-Pitch Softball Coaches Association All-Stater, had a four-year career batting average of .422 and a .958 fielding percentage this season and was a four-year starter.
Wilson hit .490 and was pretty much Sallisaw’s offensive leader in all categories, while Weedon batted .305.
Tune hit .381 with eight doubles, two triples, two home runs and had 17 runs batted in.
Young hit .292 with eight doubles, two triples and 14 RBIs.
Duran batted .341 with five doubles and four RBIs.
