ADA — The Sallisaw Black Diamonds were trying to do something that hadn’t been done in 11 years — win a district championship. Unfortunately, they will have to wait at least until next season to claim one.

The Ada Cougars simply dominated the Black Diamonds, even scoring three defensive touchdowns and scoring off a blocked punt, as the Cougars clawed the Black Diamonds 40-14 Thursday night at East Central University.
