The Cavaliers (1-1) cut a 21-point lead down to 17 at the half but were outscored 35-16 in the third quarter suffering their first loss of the season.
Raegan Beers had 26 points and 14 rebounds, while Sahara Williams scored 14 points for the Sooners (2-0).
OU led 44-27 at halftime and 90-48 midway through the fourth quarter.
Payton Verhulst added 13 points, and Skylar Vann had eight points and 10 rebounds for the Sooners.
Beers, a transfer center from Oregon State, made 11-of-16 field goals. She also had two assists and blocked two shots.
Freshman Breona Hurd led the Cavaliers with 15 points on the night while collecting five rebounds, three steals and a pair of assists. Paris Clark (11 points, two rebounds, three assists) and Kymora Johnson (10, five, four) also scored in double figures for the Cavaliers.
OU will return to action this morning with a 10:30 a.m. contest against Western Carolina at Lloyd Noble Center.
