Brush, floss, smile

Members of the Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE) group of Sequoyah County visited the Brushy School Friday to present a dental health program to Ms. Tina Cardwell’s and Ms. Jan Philpot’s kindergarten classes. They showed a film about caring for your teeth and each child was given a toothfairy pillow and toothbrush. This is an annual project for OHCE. The group hand makes the tooth fairy pillows and during the winter visits most of the kindergarten classes in the county to present this program. About 275 Sequoyah County children receive tooth fairy pillows. OHCE is an affiliate of the Oklahoma State University Extension Program.
