Sallisaw Takedown Club places at Battle of the Belt in Tulsa

TULSA — The Sallisaw Takedown Club saw 13 members place in last weekend’s Battle of the Belt Tournament.

One member, Sara Lee, got a belt as she was the champion at 74 pounds in the girls age 10-and-younger division.

Elecktra Locust (200 pounds, age 12-and-younger division), Gatlen Ruminer (49 pounds, age 6-and-younger novice division), Kylie Kehl (84 pounds, age 12-and-younger division), Harbor Hicks (heavyweight, age 15-and-younger division), Max Linthicum (126 pounds, age 15-and-younger division) and Tukker Chase (220 pounds, age 15-and-younger division) all were runners-up.

Finn Morse was third at 49 pounds in age 6-and-younger novice division and fourth at 49 pounds in the open age 6-and-younger division, while Kovee Bolin (37 pounds, girls age 6-andyounger division) and Briar James (155 pounds, age 15-and-younger division) were fourth.

Wrestling for Team Tulsa, Sallisaw Takedown Club members Miles and Lincoln Sanders also competed in the tournament. Miles won a belt as the 46-pound champion in the age 8-andyounger division, while he was runnerup at 46 pounds in the age 6-andyounger division. Lincoln was second at 64 pounds in the age 8-and-younger division.
