Muldrow teams sweep Gans; Vian teams fall to Central boys, Stigler girls in Day 2 action

It was a Muldrow sweep of the Gans teams at Roland High School’s Ranger Dome and a combined sweep of the Vian squads by the Central Tigers and the Stigler Lady Panthers at Gore Event Center on Day 2 of the 2025 Sequoyah County Classic.

At the Ranger Dome, the Muldrow Bulldogs tamed the Gans Grizzlies 69-12 right after the Lady Bulldogs defeated the Lady Grizzlies 62-21.

At Gore Event Center, the Central Tigers got past the Vian Wolverines 47-42, while the Stigler Lady Panthers handled the Lady Wolverines 57-24.

MULDROW 69, GANS 12

The Bulldogs (5-4) scored the game’s first 12 points before a 3-point basket by Gans guard Austin Hines with 3:58 left in the first quarter got the Grizzlies (0-8) on the board. It would be as close as Gans got on the night.

The ’Dogs ended the period on a 10-0 run to take a 22-3 lead into the second quarter.

In the second period, the Bulldogs sealed the deal by blanking the Grizzlies 22-0 to take a 44-3 halftime lead. With about 3:30 left before halftime until game’s end, a running clock was used.

For the game, Jesse Kilinc scored a game-high 18 points and Teaguen Collins added 12 points to lead Muldrow. Jack Pyeatt scored nine points, followed by D.J. Massey with eight points, Jaxson Anstine with seven points, E.J. Zanders and Kaden Rye with four points each, Parker Sevenstar, Tyson Williams and Jermauree Palmer each with two points and DeShawn Willson with a free throw.

In defeat, Hines led Gans with six points, followed by Jasper Green with three points, Leland Locust with two points and Harley Strahm with a free throw.

GIRLS

MULDROW 62, GANS 21

The Lady Bulldogs (4-5) put away the game early, outscoring the Lady Grizzlies (0-8) in the opening quarter 20-2 en route to a 31-4 halftime lead and a 52-17 advantage after three periods.

For the game, Maysi Fields scored a game-high 10 points to lead Muldrow, followed by Jaydin Dean and Kayla Ellingberg with eight points each, London Hardin and Jensi Fields each with seven points, Gracie Prewett with four points, Kilah Ellingberg, Emma
