Sallisaw Takedown Club members do well in multiple tournaments last weekend

The Sallisaw Takedown Club saw 11 members bring home wrestling tournament medals, four of whom brought home two apiece, from last weekend’s wrestling action, which spanned three tournaments.

At the Bedlam Battle in Stillwater, Finn Morse and Elecktra Locust each won two medals as Morse was runner-up at 49 pounds in the age 6-and-younger novice division and third at 49 pounds in the age 6-and-younger open division, while Locust won the 235-pound title in the girls age 15-and-younger division and was third at 150-200 pounds in the girls age 12-and-younger division.

Also at the Bedlam Battle, Lincoln Sanders won the 64-pound title in the 8-and-younger division, Miles Sanders was runner-up at 46 pounds in the age 8-and-younger division, Toren Gates was third at 84 pounds in the age 12-andyounger division and Tilden Gates was fourth at 106 pounds in the age 15-andyounger division.

At the Berryhill Battle for the Axe Tournament, Harbor Hicks won the title at heavyweight in the age 8-andyounger division and was fourth at 120131 pounds in the age 10-and-younger division, while Eli Matlock was third at 61 pounds in the age 10-and-younger division and was fourth at 64-67 pounds in the age 12-and-younger division.

Also at the Berryhill Battle for the Axe Tournament, Kole Knoke was second at 120-131 pounds in the age 10-andyounger division, while Clayton Warner was fourth at 110 pounds in the age 10-and-younger division.

Miko Flynn was runner-up at 55 pounds in the age 6-and-younger division at the Salina King of the Ring Tournament.
