Five Sallisaw Takedown Club members place at Novice State

TULSA — Five members of the Sallisaw Takedown Club placed at last Saturday’s Oklahoma Kids Wrestling Association Novice State Tournament.

Four of those were in the age 6-and-younger division, with one of those winning a state championship — Finn Morse at 49 pounds.

Also in the age 6-and-younger division, Gatlen Ruminer was runner-up at 49 pounds, finishing just behind Morse.

Connor Carrington was second at 60 pounds in the age 6-and-younger division, while Dawson Smith was fourth at 46 pounds in the same age division.

In the age 15-and-younger division, Xander Montgomery was third at 112 pounds.
