Gore Pirates Youth Wrestling members do well in own tournament
There’s nothing like home-mat advantage for wrestlers, and the members of Gore Pirates Youth Wrestling took advantage of that in their own tournament, the Rumble on the River, which took place Jan. 25 at Gore Event Center.

Three members claimed championships — Jaydan Gates (155 pounds, age 15-and-younger division), Jace Gates (140, age 12-and-younger) and Wyatt Chitty (7380, age 12-and-younger novice division).
Chitty and three other members were multiple medalists, as not only was Chitty the champion at 7380 pounds in the age 12-and-younger novice division, he also was second at 80 pounds in the age 12-andyounger division. Stetson Andrews was runner-up 64 pounds in the age 8-and-younger novice division, while finishing fourth at 61-64 pounds in the age 10-and-younger novice division.
Stryker Sandy was second at 130-140 pounds in the age 12-and-younger novice division and was third at 130 pounds in the age 12-and-younger division.
Isabella Mannon was third place at 58-62 pounds in the girls age 8-and-younger division, while placing fourth at 64 pounds in the age 8-and-younger novice division.
Dawson York (40 pounds, age 6-and-younger division) and Issac Smith (heavyweight, age 15-andyounger) were third, while Jeremy Brown (105, age 8-and-younger novice division), Liam Randolph (52, age 8-and-younger novice division) and Beau Moore (106 pounds, age 15-and-younger) were fourth.
