Sallisaw, Roland get road NOAA victories

POTEAU -- The Sallisaw Lady Diamonds got their NOAA Conference sweep of Poteau on Tuesday night at Sherman Floyd Fieldhouse with a 70-35 romp of the Lady Pirates.

POTEAU — The Sallisaw Lady Diamonds got their NOAA Conference sweep of Poteau on Tuesday night at Sherman Floyd Fieldhouse with a 70-35 romp of the Lady Pirates.

The Lady Diamonds (135 overall, 4-2 in NOAA Conference play) jumped out to a 19-8 lead after a period and were never headed.

For the game, Sallisaw put three players into double figures, led by Hannah Palmer and Alayna Locust-Trammell with 14 points apiece and Emma Martin had 10 points. Sydney Weedon and Channing Wilson each scored seven points, followed by Kayli Macon with six points and Jaycie Cox, Katelyn Carlton, JoLee Curson and Casey Brackett with three points apiece.

ROLAND 59, MULDROW 54, OT

Tuesday at Roger Sharp Activity Center, the Lady Rangers (13-4 overall, 6-0 in NOAA Conference play) rallied from a 36-28 third quarter deficit to get the game tied at 42-all to force overtime, then outscored the Lady Bulldogs 17-12 in OT to get the comefrom- behind victory.

For the game, Roland put a trio of players into double figures, led by Molly Carver with 18 points and Haven Freeman and Halle Freeman with 12 points apiece. Ryanne Nelke had six points, followed by Lilly Cole with three points and Julianna Trujillo with two points.

In defeat, Jensi Fields scored a game-high 20 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs (11-8, 5-2), followed by Kayla Ellingberg with 18 points, Kilah Ellingberg with eight points and London Hardin and Chloee Clark with four points apiece.

WEBBERS FALLS 42, GANS 21

Tuesday night at Bryant “Big Country” Reeves Fieldhouse, the Lady Warriors (10-8 overall, 3-4 in Riverside Conference play) jumped out to a 14-4 lead after a quarter en route to a 23-8 halftime advantage and a 32-14 lead after three quarters.

For the game, Bridgette Baer scored 18 points to lead Webbers Falls, followed by Bailey Ward with eight points, Madison Smith with six points, River Harrison and Peyton Shanks with three points each and Cheyanne Harrier and Haley Shanks with two points apiece.

GORE 48, KEOTA 17

Tuesday night at Keota, the Lady Pirates (6-11 overall, 3-3 in Riverside Conference play) jumped out to a 17-0 lead after a quarter and never looked back.

For the game, Rayleigh Moore led Gore with 11 points, followed by Emily Daily and River Shoemake with eight points each, Kennedy Williams with six points, Ricky Huckbay with five points, CoCo Carter with four points and Hallie Brewer and Lily Wooten with three points apiece.

SPIRO 51, VIAN 36

Tuesday night at B.J. Traw Gymnasium, the Lady Bulldogs jumped out to an 18-5 lead to take control of the game.

In defeat, Rayleigh Terrill scored 10 points to lead the Lady Wolverines (4-16), followed by Shelbie Glass with eight points, Avery Wright with seven points, Rebel Simon, Kala Gibbins and Halli Russell with three points each and Eden Girty with two points.

EDITOR’S NOTE: Nothing was reported on Central’s home Big 8 Conference game with Howe.
