Central gets road win over Gans

The Central Tigers got a Thursday night road win, beating the Gans Grizzlies 60-23 at Bryant “Big Country” Reeves Fieldhouse.

The Central Tigers got a Thursday night road win, beating the Gans Grizzlies 60-23 at Bryant “Big Country” Reeves Fieldhouse.

The Tigers (13-7) blanked the Grizzlies 19-0 in the opening period en route to a 32-11 halftime lead and a 50-15 advantage after three quarters.

For the game, Hardy Buzzard scored a game-high 10 points to lead Central, followed by Josh Brunk — playing against his former team — and Cale Stewart with seven points, Gavin Randolph, Kiefer Bailey and Aiden Cawhorn with six points each, Aidan Sainer and Kage Poindexter each with three points and Braxin Goodson, Paitton Merrill, Nathan Vann, O’Dell Parker, Jake Woods and Brycen Chandler-Eisman with two points apiece.

In defeat, Austin Hines led the Grizzlies (0-21) with seven points, followed by Jessie Phillips with four points and Cristian Gaona, Jarrett Frazier-Barter, Lucas Flute, Harley Strahm, Preston Bennett and Gabriel Christopherson with two points apiece.

GORE 62, WEBBERS FALLS 35

Friday night at Gore Event Center, the Pirates (16-6) jumped out to a 21-5 lead after a period en route to a 32-10 halftime advantage and a 46-20 lead going into the fourth quarter.

For the game, Cain Cooper scored a game-high 22 points to lead Gore, followed by Eli Munson with nine points, Tate Brooksher with eight points, Benson Hunt with six points, Nash Thouvenel and Duane Hunt with four points each and Ayden Cox, Keeton Rowe and Logan Markou with three points apiece.

In defeat, Thadan Yandell and Luke Pierce each scored eight points to lead the Warriors (8-13), followed by Trysten Wilbourn with seven points, Eli Hefflin with four points, Ryker Gilley with three points, Chevy Cole and Elliott Kunkel with two points each and Gunner Shelby with a free throw.

WEBBERS FALLS 56, WATTS 53

Monday night in Watts, the Warriors rallied from a 39-38 third-quarter deficit by outscoring the Engineers 17-14 in the final period for the come-from-behind victory.

For the game, Webbers Falls put four players into double figures, led by Gunner Shelby’s 16 points, followed by Chevy Cole’s 12 points and 11 points apiece from Thadan Yandell and Luke Pierce. Eli Hefflin scored four points, while Brutus Robinson added two points.

GORE 53, HULBERT 46

Saturday afternoon at Gore Event Center, the Pirates got out to a 16-7 lead after a quarter, which became a 32-15 halftime advantage and a 38-28 lead after three periods.

For the game, Gore put a trio of players into double figures as each Tate Brooksher, Cain Cooper and Duane Hunt had 12 points. Keeton Rowe and Eli Munson had six points each, followed by Nash Thouvenel with four points and Cruz Ward with a free throw.

MULDROW 66, POTEAU 39

Friday night at Roger Sharp Activity Center, the Bulldogs (14-6 overall, 4-4 in NOAA Conference play) clawed their way out to a 24-4 lead after a period to take full control of the contest.

For the game, Teaguen Collins scored a game-high 17 points and Jesse Kilinc added 15 points to lead Muldrow, followed by Jaxson Anstine and D.J. Massey with seven points each, Jack Pyeatt and E.J. Zanders each with six points, Parker Sevenstar with four points and DeShawn Willson and Kendal Howell with two points apiece.

ROLAND 52, STILWELL 48

Friday night at the Ranger Dome, the Runnin’ Rangers (18-1 overall, 8-0 in NOAA Conference play), who trailed 3021 at halftime, outscored the Indians 16-6 in the third quarter to take a 37-36 lead after three quarters. A 15-12 final period for Roland kept the Indians at bay.

For the game, Damonte Owens led Roland with a game-high 23 points, followed by Mason Kemp with nine points, Cade Shook with seven points, Landon Fowler with six points, Raesean Perryman with five points and Buck Triplett with two points.

WEBBERS FALLS 60, INDIANOLA 55

Thursday night at Webbers Falls Event Center, the Warriors led 15-9 after a quarter, 34-23 at the half and 47-42 after three periods.

For the game, Webbers Falls put a trio of players into double figures, led by Brutus Robinson’s 15 points, followed by Chevy Cole’s 14 points and Thadan Yandell’s 10 points. Gunner Shelby scored nine points, while Luke Pierce and Eliiott Kunkel had six points apiece.

KEYS 82, VIAN 43

Friday night at Keys High School in Park Hill, the Cougars jumped out to a 19-9 lead after a period, which became a 36-22 halftime advantage and a 55-35 lead going into the fourth quarter.

In defeat, Cash Trammel scored 14 points and Caden Brannick added 10 points to lead the Wolverines (8-11, 1-6 in Big 8 Conference play), followed by Trace Sanders and Michael Polecat with five points each and Dante Glass, Jeremiah Marshall and Rylan Lane with three points apiece.

WESTVILLE 45, VIAN 36

Thursday in Westville, the Yellowjackets flew out to a 12-8 lead after a quarter, but the Wolverines cut their deficit to 2423 at the half.

However, the ’Jackets stung the Wolverines with a 12-5 third quarter to take a 36-28 lead going into the final period.

In defeat, Trace Sanders tied for gamehigh honors with 15 points to lead Vian, followed by Jacob Brannick with six points, Caden Brannick with four points, Cash Trammel, Michael Polecat and Kyle King with three points each and Dante Glass with two points.

CAMERON 55, GANS 26

Friday night in Cameron, the Yellowjackets led 18-8 after a quarter, 37-10 at the half and 47-16 going into the final period.

In defeat, Austin Hines led Gans with nine points, followed by Aiden Garcia with six points, Bryce Stevens with five points and Preston Moore, Jarrett Frazier-Barter and Kenlee Green with two points apiece.
