The regular-season finales for both the Gore and Gans teams took place Monday night at Bryant “Big Country” Reeves Fieldhouse, with both Riverside Conference games going to the visitors to spoil Senior Night for Gans as the Lady Pirates started the night with a 51-26 win over the Lady Grizzlies, then the Pirates defeated the Grizzlies 4225.

Gore doubled Gans 12-6 in the second period to up the Lady Pirates’ halftime advantage to 23-10.

After a pair of Emily Daily free throws gave Gore its largest lead of the night at 15 points at 27-12 with 5:38 left in the third quarter, the Lady Grizzlies went on a 9-3 run, capped by another basket by Pilkington, to cut Gore’s lead to 30-21 with 2:34 remaining in the period. However, that ended up being as close as Gans would get.

Gore closed out the quarter on a 6-1 run, capped by Daily’s 3-point basket with 17 seconds left, to put the Lady Pirates ahead 36-22 after three quarters.
