Lady Pirates win battle against neighbor Webbers Falls

The Gore Lady Pirates defeated their Arkansas River neighbors, the Webbers Falls Lady Warriors, 51-24 on Friday night at Gore Event Center.

The Gore Lady Pirates defeated their Arkansas River neighbors, the Webbers Falls Lady Warriors, 51-24 on Friday night at Gore Event Center.

The Lady Pirates (7-12 overall, 4-3 in Riverside Conference play) had a 4-0 lead after a period en route to a 14-8 halftime advantage and a 31-17 lead after three quarters.

For the the game, Kennedy Williams scored a game-high 16 points to lead Gore, followed by Emily Daily with nine points, Rayleigh Moore with eight points, River Shoemake with five points, Ricki Huckbay and Lily Wooten with four points each, Sophie O’Connor with three points and Hallie Brewer and CoCo Carter with a free throw apiece.

In defeat, Madison Smith led the Lady Warriors (12-9, 4-4) with nine points, followed by Cheyanne Herrier and Bridgette Baer with five points each, Bailey Ward with three points and Kailey Mannon with two points.

CENTRAL 52, GANS 15

Thursday night at Bryant “Big Country” Reeves Fieldhouse, the Lady Tigers (164) clawed their way to a 21-3 lead after the first quarter, which became a 41-4 halftime advantage and a 49-5 lead going into the final period.

For the game, Cambree Bair scored a game-high 13 points and Ayrland Jiles added 12 points to lead Central, followed by Hadlie Woods with seven points, Haley Cheek with five points, Ryleigh Pierce and Paris Campbell with four points each, Cheyenne Busch, Sarah Buchanan and Kimberlynn Fahrman each with two points and Alexxus Bolin with a free throw.

In defeat, Sophie Pulice led the Lady Grizzlies (4-18) with six points, followed by Aaliyah Taylor with three points, Skylyn Bird and Brighton Dorsey with two points each and Maddie Freeman and Amarys White with a free throw apiece.

WEBBERS FALLS 59, WATTS 17

Monday night at Watts, the Lady Warriors jumped out to a 10-2 lead after a quarter, which became a 34-3 halftime advantage and a 47-12 lead going into the final period.

For the game, Cheyanne Herrier led Webbers Falls with a game-high 12 points, followed by Bridgette Baer and Paizley Turley with eight points each, Bailey Ward, River Harrison, Madison Smith and Audri Spears each with six points, Kailey Mannon with three points and Hannah Kay Mason and Haley Shanks with two points apiece.

MULDROW 55, POTEAU 33

Friday night at Roger Sharp Activity Center, the Lady Bulldogs (12-8 overall, 6-2 in NOAA Conference play) wasted little time in putting away the game, jumping out to a 20-6 lead after a quarter and were never headed.

For the game, Kayla Ellingberg scored a game-high 13 points and Maysi Fields added 12 points to lead Muldrow, followed by Kilah Ellingberg with nine points, London Hardin with seven points, Danica Tune with five points, Jaydin Dean and Gracie Prewett with three points each, Cherish Atkerson with two points and Amarie Duran with a free throw.

ROLAND 46, STILWELL 23

Friday night at the Ranger Dome, the Lady Rangers (15-4 overall, 8-0 in NOAA Conference play) blanked the Lady Indians 16-0 in the first quarter and never looked back.

For the game, Ryanne Nelke scored a game-high 19 points and Halle Freeman added 10 points to lead Roland, followed by Molly Carver with seven points, Haven Freeman with four points and Julianna Trujillo and Lilly Cole with three points apiece.

GANS 30, CAMERON 23

Friday night in Cameron, the Lady Grizzlies led 7-4 after a quarter after a quarter, 16-9 at the break and 18-11 after three periods.

Sophie Pulice scored a game-high 11 points to lead Gans, followed by Skylyn Bird with eight points, Maddie Freeman with six points and K’Cee Osborn with five points.

WEBBERS FALLS 50, INDIANOLA 33

Thursday night at Indianola, the Lady Warriors jumped out to a 11-8 lead after a quarter en route to a 27-14 halftime advantage and a 33-26 lead after three quarters.

For the game, Webbers Falls put a trio of players into double figures, led by Bridgette Baer’s 11 points and 10 points apiece from Cheyanne Herrier and Kailey Mannon. Audri Spears had seven points, followed by Bailey Ward with six points, Madison Smith with four points and Paizley Turley with two points.

HULBERT 57, GORE 31

Saturday afternoon at Gore Event Center, the Lady Riders jumped out to a 21-4 lead after a quarter and never looked back.

In defeat, Kennedy Williams and CoCo Carter led Gore with nine points each, followed by River Shoemake with five points, Rayleigh Moore with three points, Emily Daily and Sophie O’Connor each with two points and Ricki Huckbay with a free throw.

KEYS 61, VIAN 31

Friday night at Keys High School in Park Hill, the Lady Cougars clawed their way to an 11-2 lead after the opening period, but then used a 20-3 second quarter to up the advantage to 31-5 at halftime.

In defeat, Halli Russell led the Wolverines (4-18 overall, 0-7 in Big 8 Conference play) with 13 points, followed by Shelbie Glass with five points, Rebel Simon and Eden Girty with three points each, Kala Gibbins and LaKoeta Cheater each with two points and Emry Smith with a free throw.

WESTVILLE 59, VIAN 41

Thursday night in Westville, the Lady Yellowjackets led 10-6 after a quarter, 22-17 at the half and 40-25 going into the final period.

In defeat, Halli Russell scored 13 points and Avery Wright added 11 points to lead Vian, followed by Shelbie Glass with six points, Rebel Simon with five points, Rayleigh Terrill and Blazi Dieter with two points each and Eden Girty and LaKoeta Cheater with a free throw apiece.
